Joining Alan and Ray in the pub this week is guitar hero Noel Gallagher. Founder of one of the greatest bands of all time and writer of their most iconic songs; the former Oasis man pops in to talk music, football... and ghosts. Here he discusses the mysterious origin of his first guitar, the one thing that worries him and how one night in Paris saw his entire world fall apart.
He said to Pub Talk his cover of John Lennon's Mind Games will feature on his new album.
(Haven't had time to watch it yet)

(Haven't had time to watch it yet) A lot of the same old stories, some City chat, and at the end when asked the inevitable question about the reunion he says "I'm happy. He's [Liam's] doing his thing. He's fucking selling out Knebworth, it's like mate, good luck to you. Good luck to you."

On the Oasis reunion:
"Errr... I wouldn't... It'd have to be an extraordinary set of circumstances but I don't like going back over things. I always say to people 'Would you go on holiday with your ex-missus?' "
Obviously still a no but also far from "If I had 50 quid I'd rather go busking".

It's been a while since I last watched a Noel interview and I enjoyed it. But he forgot to mention he was one of the kids beating up other irish kids (if what Tony said in his book is reliable).

Well, he didn't in the end (according to Tony). IMO, it was a bit petty and inappropriate for Tony to mention this story from when they were kids and to then contrast it with an interview Noel gave to the Irish Times like 40 years or so later.

How far into this does Noel mention Mind Games? 22 mins. He doesn’t actually say Mind Games. He says “I do a cover of one of his songs on my new album.” X

I knew Tony was full of shit when he talked about him and Liam doing something to David Beckham’s Ferrari or whatever car Nice little story, the problem with it is that David Beckham was still in the youth team at the time, about 16 or 17 years old and on small YTS wages that they used to get in those days

This should've been called 'Pub Bores'.I know Noel is a fan of Talksport but agreeing to a sit down with this pair should really be beneath him.Unfortunately the sucess of City has given Noel another reason to be a smug git-but grown men really shouldn't care this much about football.
