The hate Noel receives in Twitter today is practically the same Liam received in BE's era. How the things have turned this way? Incredible isn't it? He's getting absolutely slaughtered on my timeline. Mad how things have turned round. Just shows how short-sighted music fans can be. One album that doesn't connect can do a lot of damage. I loved WBTM by the way. You and I have very different timelines, I guess

Liam must be fuming every time he sees Gem & Chris S playing for Noel now. No wonder he brings Bonehead out every opportunity he gets I mean Gem and Chris have played with Noel since 2017 and 2016 respectively? I really think the fans care far too much now about what Liam and Noel might think of each other than what Liam or Noel actually think of each other... it's getting a bit weird. I'm not having a go at you, but bloody hell look back a few pages in this thread and we've had your comment, a comment about Noel saying 'yes Glastonbury' somehow being a dig at Liam etc... I really don't think either of them care that deeply about the other Liam's doing brilliantly. Noel's just played the sundown slot ahead of Macca (which he was meant to do two years ago obviously). Be glad we've got them both! The ‘Yes Glastonbury‘ post was a different user, not me. Thanks for your valid opinion

I'm not having a dig at either - or anybody - I just think the obsession in the fanbase as a whole on what each of them thinks of the other is strange. They're both doing just fine I think.

I loved WBTM by the way. One album? I would say one album plus EPs plus shit setlists and not trying to much or not trying at all if we speak about his live shows, boring interviews, boring stories... Liam is working hard, his twitter account is biblical, he is connecting with fans, he is playing old songs live for the first time, he is keeping spirit of Oasis alive, making big gigs, trying to create big albums with big singles, making documentaries, improving his voice, looking cool, he is probably funnier than Noel for the first time and it is more interesting to watch interview with him today than with Noel. That is what was Noel doing with first two albums, while BDI were living under a rock and they were crying that nobody understands them while they were making lazy music that nobody cared about.

That is what was Noel doing with first two albums, while BDI were living under a rock and they were crying that nobody understands them while they were making lazy music that nobody cared about. Have you actually seen Noel on his tour with the 'new' band? Because if you preferred his old band then Jesus Christ His current line-up is brilliant and has changed loads of times in the last four years. He introduced Gem, Ysee, Charlotte and Jess in 2017. Musically they're all brilliant. He's now got the three brass players who are also all part of the touring band and now a further three back up singers. Noel has played big gigs. He just isn't Liam, that's the difference. Liam is of course bigger than Noel, he's the better frontman, he represents the rock and roll aspect and always will. Noel is Noel, Liam is Liam. Weird post, because you seemingly don't have a clue. If Noel was being 'lazy' with his music, he'd have trood out several different versions of NGHFB1 and left it at that. You might not like WBTM or the EPs, but they aren't 'lazy' by any definition. Just as I'm not really a fan of LG's latest album, one thing I definitely do not think it is is 'lazy'.

And that's why he plays 'boring' Oasis songs.
To have a Glasto crowd singing like that to a 20-year-old song when you're a 55-year-old bloke...

his twitter account is biblical I Stopped reading at “biblical”. Do you have problem with that word or you don't agree? Because his twitter account, as wild as it is or childish, is doing great business for him.

Liam working hard?! He fires off the odd tweet on his phone like anyone can, hardly work. His management, promotors, PR team, producers, radio pluggers, Record label etc do the real work to put him out there to a mainstream audience. He gets to turn up & sing, be himself and look cool

Any chance Noel will come out for a song with Mccartney ? The Boss I heard, not the Chief. Really doubt Macca is gonna wheel out Noel tbh

Great evening, great clouds, light, sunshine; great colors, great musicians, great broadcast, great mix. Almost perfect, but the only little problem... all these shit songs and consequently shit crowd waiting for Macca and only friendly to sing three/four oasis pitched covers.

Was it just me who thought the performance was just a bit 'meh'? I thought his vocals were poor and his set didn't seem to have much energy about it. Someone mentioned IOW 2019, I thought that was excellent with more or less exactly the same set but just seemed to be lacking in something tonight?
Mind, I only watched the BBC2 broadcast so missed Dead in the Water. Can't believe they cut that.

Mind, I only watched the BBC2 broadcast so missed Dead in the Water. Can't believe they cut that. Tbh I was worried he'd keep in Rattling Rose and Wandering Star but thankfully he didn't. Not because they're bad but they just wouldn't have gone down well. We're hypercritical on here, and a lot are of Noel's set. But it worked for what it was. He had 70-80k at the end singing Don't Look Back In Anger and the general masses mostly seemed to enjoy the BBC2 version (just a shocker that they cut DITW). I do think his vocals on the live broadcast sounded off but they were actually cleaned up on the BBC2 version a bit. Could have been a mixing issue as McCartney's vocals were all over the shop too - not that it impacted his performance one bit. I think there was a bit of banter with the crowd missing today, I noticed that. But by the end the energy was all there. I do wish he'd have replaced one or two of the Moon songs with In The Heat Of The Moment and moved If I Had A Gun up the order instead of ditching it. However, he clearly wants to get use of the band and let everybody have their moment.
