8/10 for 2022 rock and roll standards. 5/10 really. I know people over 40 who in the 90s gave 5 out of 10 to Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, Live Forever and Don't look back in Anger. Today they are still of the same opinion. There is no objective vote. There will always be people who will like it and others who will hate it.

If Better days was on Definitely Maybe, everyone would talk about how shit it is. Today is ok. In reality, it's just (Probably) All In The Mind with producer.

Half of Be Here Now would have been rubbish if it had been included on Definitely Maybe. From 2000 onwards, even worse. So every era has the songs it deserves. And any song can be good or junk based on who is listening to them.

The Noel test is simple: do they hold on acoustic guitar ? Bar one or two, they do. Do those three songs hold on acoustic guitar ? Probably not. Most of Liam's solo songs (bar most of the first record) are very well hidden weak tunes, which wasn't the case for Oasis songs you mention. They were on another level, even the weaker one from HC or DBTT. There is just no comparison.

In this forum you have too many problems: "if he did it with the acoustic guitar it would sound bad, if he removed this and that and added that other ..." I have known people who did not appreciate Oasis but have gladly listened to Liam as a solo. I also managed to bring people (not Oasis fans) to Liam's solo concerts (thanks to my inclusion of his two records in the tracklists of the parties I did) and they had so much fun that they wanted to come back to him. Some even bought his albums. I repeat. In here you make too many problems. His solo music isn't as bad as you think. Life is short, think less about the things of music and you will find that in Liam's records you live divinely. We are not Beethoven fans.

Somewhere around a six.
It's a decent track, I love the strings and Liam's vocals are strong, but the melody is quite plain (in the chorus particularly), and the Tomorrow-Never-Knows drums with backwards guitars is a bit much. The way he sings that "reeeeliinnnngg" is a highlight, sounds fantastic. The lyrics are bland. Overall, just fine for me - but closing tracks are like the last scene of a film, and the weight of them often only shows when you've experienced what's come before, so there's still a chance it becomes the perfect closer rather than just a decent single.
1. Everything's Electric (7.5) 2. Better Days (6) 3. Come On, You Know (5)

Better Days has really, really grown on me. Also can’t get it out of my head. Chune!
Really uplifting single when I currently need it the most.
8.5/10…. Keeping it at 8/10 though.

Fair point about Beethoven. I'm more of a Tchaikovsky fan myself.

I didn't know where to publish it, however the new single by Tommaso Paradiso, a well-known Oasis fan, reminds me too much of the Better Days video.
