Two masterful hymns. Which of these is the best?

Once by a country mile

The better comparison would be Noel's christmas song, Wandering star.

The better comparison would be Noel's christmas song, Wandering star. All you're dreaming of VS Wandering star? It would be like evaluating "gold" vs "plastic"

Not a fan of either, but Once is the better of the two.

I love both of them. So it's a hard one so I don't think that I can vote.

Wrong benchmark. This isn’t even close. I was singing Once for months. I couldn’t hum the new tune if there was a gun to my head. Manufactured pablum.

Once by an absolute massive distance.

Probably in the minority but I prefer All You're Dreaming Of. I hate the repetitive Once part of the song and it ruins it for me

The simplicity of Once really makes the melody all the more mesmerizing.

Once is just fantastic, it's one of those songs that hits you straight away from the first listen and never really gets old.
Great video too with Cantona. ❤

I don't care for either, but IMO Once is clearly the cleverer and more interesting piece of music.

All You're Dreaming Of, because of the production, mainly. Like that retro style with carefully placed backing vox and orchestra.

I'll admit Once is a better song, but All You're Dreaming Of gets me more emotional.

I seem to be in the minority here, but All You're Dreaming Of is much, much better. Once isn't terrible, but it's nowhere near what it's cracked up to be. The barren acoustic strumming and overly simplistic melody make it something of a chore to listen to. It's too slow and the chorus is positioned to be a lot more massive and emotional than it actually is. I find the comparisons between this song and Noel in his prime nothing short of ridiculous. Nothing special about it, solo Liam on autopilot.
All You're Dreaming Of is probably the closest Liam has come to capturing that classic Oasis glory. It has a lovely melody, a massive chorus, and one of Liam's best vocals ever(both on record and live). It's a truly special song and I can't stop listening to it. Pretty easy victory for me.

I think it's lovely that people think that, and that his fans have been able to unite over their love for that song and that they feel it rekindles Liam's glory days. I just personally think the song itself is very weak.

Once. The lyrics are a lot stronger and powerful. Honestly I'd be lying if I said I wasn't waiting for a bridge or something to happen in the middle of All You're Dreaming Of.
