Ahem, if you're subscribed to SiriusXm you can listen to Noel being interviewed by The Edge

You don't actually have to sign up for the free preview -- clicking on it gives you 5 hours of free access, which should get you through the entire show. The only problem is that you can't fast forward, so you have to listen through all the songs as well. It is a fairly long discussion of song writing.

Love Noel Gallagher the songwriter, but I just couldn't give a fuck about what he has to say anymore.
Will still give him my money but I have absolutely no respect for the prick anymore. Fuck him.

Thanks a lot mate, I'll give it a try It's about 55 minutes long. The most interesting part, at least for me, was Noel telling a story about how early Oasis always talked about just going into the studio after the last show on each tour to record the set list as a live studio album. The theory was that they were at their peak performing those songs at that point. However, he said that they couldn't stand each other after the tours, so they never actually did it. Quite a shame. Would love to have a 1995/1996/1997 era live studio album of those set lists.

I wouldn't subscribe to this and I think Noel is close to the edge with his stupid comments anyway.

I wouldn't subscribe to this and I think Noel is close to the edge with his stupid comments anyway. They both make stupid comments. The only difference is when Liam does it you say 'haha classic LG POTATO! Hahahah' and when Noel does it you say 'Noel is such a bitter ass hole. What a jerk'.

The thing is Noel's comments these days are absolutely stupid remember his pathetic face masks comments not so long ago. These days since he went solo he's turned into a grumpy old man and I'm not interested in his stupid comments anymore. Liam may say stupid things sometimes but on the hole he's usually still funny.

I think Noel's more interesting and funny than Liam, and I have some opinions on Liam's persona some may find controversial, but I'm not exactly raving about it in the Liam section am I? Point is some of you turned this thread in a whole stream of bitterness while all I was trying to do was share some content a few people might've found interesting, there was no need, but each to their own I guess

Really enjoyed that conversation, two guys who evidently are so passionate about music.
Some interesting questions though, what's that album Noel mentions prior to Definitely Maybe full of house music? Was that Oasis or was he just referring to the tapes he did with Mark Coyle?
Interesting to hear that Noel wasn't into anything 'contemporary' and rather relied on tricks from the British songwriting book of yesteryear, and that it's only in recent years that he's started to listen to it.

Hes talking about those early demos. Must be the Music ,Snakebyte, Better Let You Know, Strange Thing, See the Sun etc
