Well ladies and gentlemen president dump has been impeached. He'll still get re elected unless we have Bernie, but this is a moral victory.

Was it because of the phone call? I think this'll be a catalyst for the 25th Pence backers

This'll only energise his fan-base. Trump friend: Nancy Pelosi should be removed now.....does he even know how it works?

I stopped paying attention to the impeachment a while back. Didn't watch a minute of the impeachment hearings or the vote. We all knew he was going to be impeached, just like we all know the Senate will vote for acquittal. So why waste my time and energy on what we already know is inevitably going to happen?
The only thing that's been interesting is Pelosi's genius move of not bringing the articles of impeachment to McConnell's desk. It's a move of political gamesmanship I've come to expect from Republicans, not Democrats. It makes sure that Trump, McConnell, and the Republicans can't get the victory lap they would inevitably have when Senate votes to acquit—which helps in an election year. McConnell has publicly said he wouldn't hold a fair trial, so by doing what she's doing, Pelosi and the Democrats get to have their cake and eat it, too.
Even with that said, the parties are at a stalemate. He's been impeached, and that's all the Democrats could ask for, given the current power dynamics.
