UK obviously the target auidence, clocking in at 100,000 after week 1.
Can this album reach 1 million+ in worldwide sales in due time?
Clinched the UK #1 Album. Next goal: 1 million worldwide album sales.

No way it will reach these numbers. There simply is not enough demand outside the UK.

No.
It took Noel going a little bit over double platinum for him to reach that.
Liam would have to sell somewhere in the neighborhood of 700-800k in the UK, considering his sales in the rest of world might amount to 200-250k.

I’m gonna go out on a limb, with much trepidation, feeling like I’m putting my foot in a bear trap, being boo’d whilst crossing a minefield and say...yes. Eventually.
I believe this collection of songs will have legs.
Maybe.

Whoever thinks this could come close to 1 million sales ww does not have any clue. It would be fantastic if As You were sold 500,000 copies worldwide. From outside the UK, we can't expect much more than 100,000 copies. Liam does not sell huge numbers outside the UK, but he does great this time in his homecountry. Let's see if the album has legs in the next couple of weeks.

I’m not saying it WILL DEFO hit 1 million, just that “does not have any clue” could in time prove to be pessimistic.

his promotion and touring outside europe and the U.S has been almost 0... so lets wait and see.
he might get some good numbers from southamerica, and specially from japan and korea.

I don't intend to be negative, I am just realistic. I love the album, and it deserves 10 million copies sold. But it won't sell 10 million copies, and it won't sell 1 million copies. Why make up goals that can't be reached? We can be so damn happy about the fantastic UK numbers so far. And it still seems to be doing pretty good there, at least when I look at the amazon.uk charts (#1 and #7). AYW should get some additional hype later this year when the Noel record is released. Maybe it can reach 300,000 sales in the UK - a number nobody would have expected a few months ago.

Could this not have gone in one of the chart threads, can't the nods have a word with this poster about doing this all the time?
And the answer is, no chance.

I think considering it did 50k in the rest of the World on week one, there is a very good chance that over a tour and more large concert coverage and track releases it will comfortably get double that
