Well it seems the bonus tracks have been very polarizing.
For this one, forget the lyrics. Focus on Liam's voice, how the song slowly builds and the haunting piano and oooohs. Focus on the melody.
I know there are many lyrics police here. I'm not one of them. I started liking Oasis at age 7. Do you think lyrics meant anything to me? It was Liam's voice and the songs' hooks and melodies which drew me in. Two decades later, nothing has changed. Fuck lyrics. (Well not entirely. Bieber's Baby has awful lyrics).
But seriously, Liam's voice is so good, he could elevate Happy Birthday or If You're Happy and You Know It to greater heights. Its what he does. Stop trying to listen for Shakespeare. Love this one for what it should be loved for, his voice and how irresistibly catchy it is.
Great song, should have been on the album, I play this one a lot, is easily in my top 6 of 15 on the album.

I like it a lot. It's quite different from how I imagined it might be. That said, it isn't my favourite bonus track - that would be 'Doesn't have to be that way'.

This is my second favorite song on the album. I love the simplicity of the arrangement, it’s hella catchy, and it is reminiscent of (dare I say it?) a modern Beatles song. And I find the lyrics hilarious - a complete roasting with tongue planted firmly in cheek. The hipster lingo (“swerve you” “what a bummer”) and compete castigation of “fanboys” is pure comedy. Love it.

A really great lovely tune with a catchy melody. Had it on repeat all day since the album dropped. Love it when he sings the line "Oh what a bummer, if they only knew what I've uncovered they'd be swerving yooouuuuuu..." He sounds very much like John Lennon. The delivery of "swerving you" is one of my favourite moments of the album

I thought "Oh what a bummer" was "I want Obama" first time I heard it.

I like the lyrics, to be honest.
"Good lad...Scumbag...Be home soon" reminds me of Round Are Way in its affectionate and nostalgic tone.

One of my faves, to be honest. Like All My People this is much better than most of Liam's previous ballads and the lyrics aren't as clunky or cliched. Problem with a lot of his acoustic songs is that they verge on twee (Songbird, Love Like a Bomb, Evil Eye, Don't Brother Me, Start Anew, For Anyone etc) and the similar songs this time round are a bit darker in both production and lyrical content. I really like the end as well.

One of the things that make it special. Everyone who helped him make this album made sure his voice was the standout instrument.

The lyrics are dreadful, but there's a charm about them. It's not great, but it's better than a couple of songs on the album - When I'm In Need, Chinatown and I Get By.

Was hoping there would be a thread about this...
My current favorite track, agree with poster above “Swering you” delivery is an album highlight.
This is such a good album!

I can´t say i particularly like it. It´s possibly one of tunes i listen to less on the record and i did vote for it as worse on the album(although i would probably change it now) but boy those "Dun Dun Dun" of the Piano towards the end of the song are an incredible feeling.
