Unless a famous music star dies within the next few days & his/her back catalogue soars to the top of the charts. Let's hope there's no major casualty within the music world that would disrupt Liam's chances to get a #1 album.

I know that, but I don't think Tom Petty would posthumously outsell Liam in the UK. Someone as famous as Bowie, Prince or George Michael who all died last year (a big star such as Madonna for instance, though I wish her no harm), however, may shift enough units to keep Liam off the top spot.

I'd say a number 1 album is for sure happening. The only important question is of course, will he outsell NGHFB's first week sales 😉

I'm in the US .... here he is as big as all the names you listed ... Def bigger than Bowie here.

I'll be curious to see where he lands in charts outside of the UK also, though even Oasis had unpredictable results.

He will get nº1 easily in the UK, specially with the lack of strong names releasing records this week. In the rest of the world it´s a bit tricky to guess...it will certainly sell better than Beady Eye because the name Liam Gallagher sells, but it´s not Oasis. I think a good estimate there would be looking at Noel´s numbers from the previous records and add some but not much.

Anything below no.1 would be a failure imo, especially with what he's up against. 2 Liam tunes in the top 100 midweek chart right now too.

I saw on YouTube earlier an advert for an album coming out on Friday and the single they played has been absolutely everywhere. I can't for the life of me remember who it was though, but I did think due to the size of the hit single (has been massive on the radio) it might threaten Liam.
Sorry i couldn't be more vague.

Does Marilyn Manson sell a lot in the UK? The only other names I know in the list are Kele Okereke, The Darkness & Wolf Parade.

There´s no way he´s not doing Nº1 in the UK with those releases.

Liam is going to be #1. Shouldn't even be a question atm.
Unless someone like Eminem does a last second album drop, he's going to take that top spot easily.

If he can achieve around BE numbers then that'd be swell.
