That's so strange and bad PR that nobody knows that Liam is on this show tonight or future. If it's filmed for a later date - possibly when he's back in the US for the tour - it's not really bad PR at all. Mentioned this in the Stern thread but Liam's camp are playing a blinder here. Oh I get when things are taped early. Normally that's done the same week of the airing. Not 3-4 months ahead of time. Unusual to say the least. I would say this is highly irregular based on my experiences with the previous show in that building David Letterman.

Just like in the tradition of other late night hosts, the majority of Colbert's comedy is derived from current political situations. If it is aired 3-5 months later, then just about everything he covers will be considered old news. If they do delay Liam's appearance for that long, then i'd expect that they would merge his performance with an episode that was taped at the very time in which it is aired (i.e. combining his performance with a much more recent interview/monologue).

You nailed it at the end of your post. That is exactly what they will do. I wonder why Liam just couldn't do it later this November? Guess it doesn't really matter.

Hope he will make an appearance on Fallon or Kimmel and I'm pretty sure Warner will sort that out for him but definitely expecting that promo stuff when he's back in the US for his regular tour in November and the album is already out.

Does seem weird, but maybe it's just with scheduling? Liam isn't back in New York (for a gig) until Monday November 27th. Maybe it just doesn't work out logistically to get him in around then? Liam's US tour starts in San Francisco on November 13th, and I'm guessing that'll be hot off the heels of a full UK tour after the album's release.

A simple check on when the academies that LG will most likely end up playing are available indicates he may have to split it either side. The album is out on the 6th. I wouldn't be shocked to see him start a quick UK/Europe leg a week or two later (especially since he's already confirmed for a gig in Ireland on the end of November), before then jetting off to the U.S. Then he could well do the rest of the UK in the first weeks of December. We'll see anyway

I registered last week hoping I could buy a McKittrick ticket off someone, ended up getting my own. Had no need to post until I had some info to share, which people were asking me for today on Instagram. Chappelle is on Wednesday, but he was FILMED today. I can already tell you his outfit, long tight grey shirt, see through orange sunglasses (indoors) and white shoes. If you want details on his interview I'll tell you that too. Listen McLovin, some people around here are skeptical. We got severely burned by a forum member earlier in the year over "exclusive" Liam news he shared with us over the holidays. He was in fact lying the entire time. Not saying that is you at all just why it's hard to convince everyone. I personally believe you. Post away. Can we get some details on the interview??

See for fucking yourself in a few weeks then. What else can I possibly tell you? He was a surprise guest right after Chappelle / no idea when it will be on / played For What It's Worth for the first time ever / he was wearing the exact same outfit as the Howard Stern press photos. I'm just trying to help since I was clearly the only Oasis fan there. It is true, not everyone on here is full of bs. http://instagr.am/p/BXPA9zCjh0N Are you mates with Debbie?

I really like Stephen Colbert. To me, all the other hosts of American late night shows seem impossibly smug, unfunny, and just loud (including our own James Cordon - apologies for that one, America!). But Colbert actually is funny, I think, and really very likeable too. Like a lot of Brits I think, I'm fascinated by America and its politics. And so, watching his opening monologues from each edition of The Late Show has become like a morning ritual for me in recent times, what with that fat fucker vulture capitalist plonk stumbling into the White House. So I'm chuffed if Liam has got a spot on the show. Because he's not changed his setlist much, I've not been arsed to keep up with the footage from his gigs, so I don't know whether he's still sounding as good now as he was at Glasto the other month, but it'd be great if he could put a good shift in and maybe defy some people's expectations of him. I'm not expecting it to massively spike sales of Wall of Glass or anything -- I know the live performances only tend to get a couple of hundred thousand views at best -- but it'd be nice if he could stoke up a bit of interest for the new album over there at least. So much more likeable than David Letterman.

If one of the songs he played is really For What It´s Worth then either this is still a couple of months away, or we getting the single very soon.

Talking to Liam's band here in Chicago, and was told they did the new single on Stephen Colbert and that the single will be released next Friday. I didn't ask what it is, but another new track is dropping soon!

I gotta admit I was caught off guard, so the intro is a bit of a blur. I was expecting them to launch into WOG then Colbert says 'you may know him as the frontman of Oasis, here with his solo single FWIW - Liam Gallagher!!' The song is beautiful. Really nice melodies and nice lyrics. Chorus is something along the lines of 'for what its worth, i admit i made all of my mistakes' and 'we all fall off the track sometimes' (sorry its hard to remember after one listen!). It never exploded into a giant chorus like DLBIA like I was expecting after the reviews, bit of a low key catchy chorus like Wonderwall? Piano/keyboards were kinda deiving the track with guitar chords over it from memory. Anyway - i fucking loved it. Anyone else's BS meter going off? I can't remember the last time my bullshit meter wasn't going off, the whole world's full of bullshit. THIS, however, may be true.

Yeah, Dave Chappelle's interview. Oh, I missed that...thanks Yeah sorry, I meant Chappelle's interview because some people didn't think they were there at the same time. Liam just played his two songs, had some banter with the audience and Colbert off camera but no formal interview
