I cant get over how cool Liam has been with everyone with this comeback. Everyone always said he was an asshole and all this and Noel was the good one. Im sorry but him seeing fans and stopping to sign stuff and say high is awesome but on top of that giving people without tickets tickets to his shows is nothing short of amazing to me. He has done this a few times now and each time it makes me feel even better about it (the latest time was in NYC last night). He loves his fans and i think after all that has happened has become a humbled and all around good guy. Im sure he always has been and at times like anyone his fame went to his head but he has turned this thing around and is a top guy. I wish this would get out there for more of the haters to see because maybe they would change their minds a little. Noel is a good guy 2 from what we hear but i know the 3 times i tried to get a pic or autograph i was ignored or chased off so all in all Liam seems to be doing the right thing.

Perhaps he needed to experience failure first to become more grounded.

Perhaps he needed to experience failure first to become more grounded. i think you are right he went from being the biggest band in the world to having nothing. I think he is thankful to have this 2nd chance.

Perhaps he needed to experience failure first to become more grounded. It happens to everyone... makes you appreciate everything much more!

When you play to 250,000 people at 23, you're bound to be a mental twat for a bit in all fairness.

He seems really happy at the moment and most importantly enjoying being back making and performing music, long may it continue!

Everyone always said he was an asshole and all this and Noel was the good one. I've never heard that from 'real' people like fans, the only place i hear that are the crappy tabloids. They want to sell papers, what would sell papers ? Saying Liams a nice bloke visiting fans/signing autographs ? Course not, they wind him up at 2am (say in the 90s) after he leaves a bar, get in his face waiting for him to attack/moan/push a photographer etc. Then they take their picture and they've got a photo to sell for a lot of money. I've heard stories of people who have met him and say hes nice as anything to fans. When i met him he was friendly as anything. Signed autographs, was more interested in my dog ! There was this young lad (about 10 or so) who turned up with his guitar early on and didnt have a coat, was freezing and waiting for ages and the band found out and let him come in (They were doing a video) and jammed with him ! Made his day. If this was frickin Robbie Williams they would be like 'can we wait for the press, then take some photos ?' etc. Liam and co didnt milk it. It did make the local paper as the kids dad took some photos and let them use the pictures he had taken but he said Liam was a top bloke, the kid was over the moon. Great story. I never believe any of the tabloid crap, they just want OTT stories to sell papers.

Liam's always been the one who had the time for fans. I've heard the opposite of Noel, who gets grumpy when fans approach him. My old boss met him on a flight one year back from Spain with the rest of the band (minus Noel) and they all posed for pictures with him and offered him tickets to their show that night.
