We can only go by what we have heard so far. What are your feelings to this point? BETTER OR WORSE than you thought?

For me the songs all have energy, melody and some great hooks. The live performances are completely exceeding expectations and the fact that people I know have always hated both the Gallagher are now not so vocal about it makes me think this could be the best album cycle I've ever known for either of them. I missed out on the first 2 albums as I was like 4 and 5!

I can't answer for this question as I've only heard Wall of Glass, Bold and Greedy Soul from live recordings so far and I don't want to judge the album before listening to it properly. But I'm excited and really looking forward to receive my box set in October.

I think he's got it just right. I was really worried that Liam going solo could be a bit of a sad car crash if he was writing all the songs and didn't do himself justice live, but I think he has done exactly the right thing in getting a few great professional writers and producers involved and he is singing really well, his interviews are great, he's looking cool. I'm not expecting a 10/10 album by any means having heard roughly half the songs (I've not heard Paper Crown and one of the others, I can't remember its name), selfishly I'm hoping he does just enough to convince Noel that getting the band back together is the best thing to do. I think once Noel has got his third album done and toured, he will have completed what he wanted to achieve really and hearing Liam singing Oasis songs well again should convince him.

Uh, can't say yet, as I haven't heard the album yet.
Apparently some of you have.

I've listened to the singles Wall of Glass and Chinatown - I like them, decent little tunes that have staying power - and aside from Liam's performance of Bold two years ago in an Irish pub (which I think is ho-hum, okay), nothing else. EDIT: Actually listened to Paper Crown, really nice tune too.

He said "so far", guys, no need to be snarky.
I think, taking the fact that he's been working with songwriters into account, it's about what I'd expect or maybe slightly worse. Wall of Glass, Bold, and Paper Crown are good but a lot of others seem Beady Eye-ish.

The closest Beady Eye got to the quality of Greedy Soul was with Four Letter Word and that's one of their best songs in my opinion. This project has definitely exceeded my expectations.

I actually love Universal Gleam, I can understand the criticism that it doesn't really go anywhere but I think it's got a great melody. I do agree that All I Need is one of the weaker songs though.

I think he´s for sure more talked about in the media and thing and all the songs we´ve heard so far shit all over most of Beady Eye´s catalog.
But we are forgetting a key factor. The fact he actually put his name out there, no shit attached, just Liam Gallagher. His name still has value, he was the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the 90´s.

It all comes down to "For What it's Worth" and the studio version of Paper Crown.
But if FWIW is the best song on the album then that will take it over the hump. Based on the songs weve Heard live or released id rank it to be second behind Noel's Chasing Yesterday but better than both beady Eye Albums and Noel's first album.

Uh, can't say yet, as I haven't heard the album yet. Apparently some of you have. First 2 singles came out of nowhere like a sledgehammer. I'd have expected Beady Eye Mk2 but we've got 2 singles that are very current and relevant.
