Thank (or blame) Simon Mason for Be Here Now.
Did Nick Ingham do the strings for Whatever? If so, I've always wondered how much input Noel had on the arrangement. It adds so much to the song (obviously).
Thanks.

I'm looking forward to listen to those new episodes, especially Nick Ingham and The Magic Mod. Keep your great work up, James!
I have a question for Nick Ingham. If he ever heard The String Quartet Tribute doing Oasis? if so, what's his opinion about it? I'm a big fan of The String Quartet Tribute doing The Smiths and Oasis.

For Nick Ingham:
1. I remember reading that Noel had originally sang the string parts for Whatever and then sent the tape forward for someone else to transcribe and compose. Is this true? 2. Whatever happened to the orchestral pieces that were supposed to be in-between the songs in BHN? 3. What he considers as his best work with Oasis (or with any other band)?

Must admit I've never heard of Simon Mason. Here's his Knebworth experience: “First thing I did when I got in, I went into a Portaloo to smoke some crack — but then I needed some heroin to take the edge off the crack, and I realised I’d left it in London. So I’m in this cubicle, backstage, sweating like a lunatic, naked. The first band hadn’t even played and I had to leave. I remember this tide of humanity coming into the show as I was walking out.” He was at his heroin dealer’s house when he saw the news — he had missed the biggest ever gig in Britain. You know you've hit bad times when you need heroin to take the edge off your crack! www.google.co.uk/amp/www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/london-life/simon-mason-britpop-the-nineties-and-how-i-survived-my-cocaine-supernova-8661514.html%3Famp
