Absolutely love this new one. Been playing it a lot the last week, can't wait for the studio version. Worked out the lyrics: Here comes my epiphany We're sitting all so patiently Give me something I can shout about I wont ever let you down I give you Universal Gleam I'll help you fix your broken dreams I'll give you something you can shout about I wont ever let you down But I'm older now Gonna show you how for real Gonna spit you out Of my motor mouth I wont ever let you down You can make or break my day The only words I hear you say Give me something I can shout about I wont ever let you down Cos I'm older now Gonna show you how for real Gonna spit you out Of my motor mouth I wont ever let you down I'm gonna make you mine I'll bring it on home, bring it all night Say can you ?? I'll bring it on home, bring it all night I wont ever let you down x2 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Think this is definitely a heavily Liam written tune, can tell by some of the lyrics and the melodies. What does everyone else think about this one?

Big fan of this one. This greedy soul and paper crown have made a big impression on me so far. Like bold but not as much as a lot of other people it seems.
Be really interesting to see how they are produced on the album. Paper crown is another Greg song so should have similar production but the other ones I have no idea.

Love it - one of the most anticipated tracks on the album for me, along with "I Get By". If it is indeed a wholly Liam-written track, then it is up there with "Guess God Thinks I'm Abel". A solid composition with catchy melody. I find myself humming the "give me something I can shout about" bit from time to time - something I would never expect from a song written by our kid.

It sounds like a bad version of 'Tender' by Blur - a band Liam's been bashing for ages.
However, on a positive note, I really like how the band blends well together. Good choice of your sidemen, Liam.

Definitely my favourite track so far. Awesome to finally have a good recording! This one and Paper Crown seems to have a slight country/americana kind of groove, which I really hope runs through some other songs on the record as well.
If this record does well I really hope we get some more tunes like this...

I was thinking the same, definitely got a Country/Americana vibe to it for sure, pretty sure the album version is going to be heavily produced like that as well.

Love this tune - my favourite new one so far. I hope/think Liam's vocal will blow me away on the studio version.

Anyone figured out the second chord in the verse? It's doing my head in. Capo 4th fret, starts on E but can't for the life of me work out that next chord.

Has anyone noticed, that there are three members of the band who are playing guitar? McConnel switched from bass to acoustic. I didn't notice a bass player.

I find it a bit bland, but the recording is bad. Waiting for better/proper version to judge it.

It's a ripoff of Tender and Real Love by a certain band from Liverpool. Filler for me.

Great to see that a lot of you like it but it does nothing for me unfortunately. Sounds plodding

As mentioned above, the first line is a direct rip-off of the first line in Real Love by John Lennon.

Chords you may not know (probably do but just incase).. B6 - {x 2 1 1 0 0} Bm6 - {x 2 0 1 0 0} Bsus4 - {x 2 4 4 0 0} Asus2 - {x 0 2 2 0 0} E6sus2 - {x 4 4 4 0 0} Really it should be played {2 4 4 4 0 0} but I can't be arsed with that and how I play it sounds nice. So yeah, that's Universal Gleam Jim G. and anyone else who is interested.
