aswell as 2-1 win against blackburn.! Leeds United have confirmed to the Stock Exchange that Peter Reid is still the club's manager, following a day of intense speculation about his future. Whites chairman Professor John McKenzie was reported to have been mulling over whether to retain Reid's services on Wednesday evening, following meetings with the club's powerbroker Allan Leighton and the manager himself. A statement released by the club on Thursday read: "Obviously everybody connected with Leeds United is concerned about the club's position in the Premier League table and the board has spent some considerable time considering all aspects of the situation. "Our conclusion is that Peter Reid should remain as the team manager to lead the team's recovery in performance." Leeds are currently languishing in the Premiership relegation zone following a run of three consecutive league defeats. cheers: www.nationwide.co.uk
