So I'm new here (http://live4ever.proboards.com/thread/86110/hello), and the main reason today was the day I became a member, is that I simply need someone to discuss this with. I was listening to Be here now (just the song) yesterday and when Liam went "come on, come on..." by the end, it struck me that it sounded almost identical to Richard Ashcroft's "come on's" during the outro of the Verve song called... "Come on" (well, of course). Knowing that Oasis and the Verve (atleast Richard Ashcroft) were somewhat friends, and the fact that both of these songs appeared on records released the same year, it makes me think that this is no coincidence. Or should I just take off my tin foil hat?

'Come On' is a song that has been around since 1994, being demoed during the Verve's A Northern Soul sessions. I don't really see a distinct correlation between Richard's lyrics and Noel's. The song's latter section (BHN) seems to take more from the 'come on's' present in 'Columbia' on the first record.

But if it is as Flashbax says, well that explains it all haha.

The Verve weren't the first band to use that phrase, you know.

Can someone tell me the exact time on The Verve's Come On when you can hear Liam? I've listened to it a thousand times (love it!) and I have never been able to identify Liam on it.

At around 4:35 underneath Richard dementedly screaming "let it go!!" you can hear a second voice, which is none other than rkid!

Liam 'wrote' the 'Come Ons' in BHN - as in it was his contribution to the song.
So probably.

Have they been seen in the same room together!?! ✌️ Although it would appear so on this photo I have it on good authority that 'Mad' Richard Ashcroft was actually in another dimension via the power of his mind, and so was not visible to Liam despite appearing in the same room whilst also posing the question are Liam and Richard the same person in parallel universes yet both visible to others in this universe? ** As you may have guessed mossy it's been a long day and unsurprisingly I am talking out of my arse
