Leeds United chairman John McKenzie has hinted that the club could be in a position to offer permanent deals to the loan stars Peter Reid brought to Elland Road in the summer. McKenzie also thinks the club will not have to sell any of its big-name stars like Mark Viduka, Alan Smith and Paul Robinson when the transfer window reopens in January. Leeds have signed Lamine Sakho, Didier Domi, Zoumana Camara, Cyril Chapuis and Salomon Olembe on loan deals and McKenzie is keen to keep at least some of them when their initial spells at Elland Road expire. "I am now looking at who might be coming in," he told the Yorkshire Post. "If one, two or three of the French lads come up trumps then I will have to work out how we are going to bring them in permanently. "We have them on loan here for a whole year but if we want them at a specific price then we have to announce our intent to buy in January. "It will obviously depend on whether Peter wants to keep them but it will then be down to me to try and find the money required. "The club has stabilised in recent months so now we have to be able to build for the future." www.nationwide.co.uk
