Leeds United's Australian striker Mark Viduka has challenged his side's midfield to provide himself and Alan Smith with the ammunition to see off Southampton.
Viduka was talking after the Whites went down 2-1 at Spurs on Saturday and is hoping for better at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
He told the club's official website: "We have some good players in midfield who can get hold of the ball but they didn't do that.
"We were just looking for the long ball up front with not much support.
"Southampton caused us lots of problems last season but we have to forget that. It's one I think we have to win just to get ourselves going."
Last season the Saints took four points out of six from United, with the sides drawing 1-1 at Elland Road last December.
