I realise now, reading my post back, it comes across impossibly naive. What I meant to say was there can't be many blokes like Liam, well into their forties and with kids at home to look after, out snorting cocaine. Oh boy, you'd be surprised, maybe even shocked, at the amount of blokes (and women too) who actually ARE like that. It's just that not all of them are famous. It happens in all layers of the community and in very different age groups. Yeah, but it's not normal behaviour though, is it? At that age and with those responsibilities. There'll be more that don't do all that than do. That's what I was getting at originally - disputing the claim that Liam had "settled down" and become just a regular common-or-garden bloke. Having read Tony's book, and seen how Liam was before he even had his first sniff (no pun intended) of fame, I doubt he has the capacity to be a "normal bloke".

Anyone ever considered the possibility that Liam could be making a comeback by doing something else than music? Potentially, although given Pretty Green is established nicely and his attempts thus far at film production have fizzled out I am going to assume it's music related.

This is what amazed me when I read Paul's book. Liam was basically born to be a rock star. He was always the toughest guy in the school. Wanted to be in the centre of attention and girls fancied him since he was 8 It was also nice to read that his best friend was completely opposite to him. Just some normal, shy, bloke. I don't know how it's nowadays but according to Paul's book Liam didn't abandon his friends. He always tried to get free concert tickets to all of them etc. Even after he became really famous.

I believe that Liam will probably open a bar or a club in Manchester.

It's up here now, 40 minutes in. The brief quote about music: "It coincides with, um, obviously Liam has started doing some new music but also next month there's the Oasis film coming out"

That's one hell of a sub-headline right there. Absolutely inspired.
And "epic" Oasis film? By gum, I'm excited to read this tomorrow...

As it's going to be a 14 pages feature, maybe they were talking about... BOWIE Maybe Bowie's sudden and shocking death was a primary factor in getting Liam off his arse again? The only time I've heard Liam mention Bowie, was when he slagged off Noel's abysmal cover of 'Heroes', saying "we shouldn't've done it - we haven't got any Bowie in us". Dropping his first name, and knowing what constitutes a Bowie kind of record, Liam clearly knew back then, in 1997, at least a little bit about the great man. So it would be interesting to know how he feels about him now, 20 years on.

Sure, he could have just posted on twitter the obligatory R.I.P., when he died. But then again everybody was doing it. I'm not sure if he would get into the experimental sound of a record like Black Star or even songs like Bring Me The Disco King.

If Liam making new music is 100% then that's great news imo. Even if it isn't as great as people want it to be, tbh I really like most of BE's songs so i'm sure i'll be happy with his solo music too - especially considering how most music nowadays has become so boring imo. Flick of the finger, The Roller, Four letter word, Soon come tomorrow, Start anew, The morning son..he may not have written them all but they're his style and I expect more of the same
