Right, got to be said, HUGE respect for Q and Ted, for certainly delivering on a promise, what a damn great interview. Literally almost everything you could want from a Liam Interview.
- New Songs - Album potentially next year - Songs potentially very good - Supersonic Film sounding BETTER AND BETTER - Liam chat is absolutely on form, what a guy
This is a good day. Many thanks jaq515

This interview is really good. He just gained a lot more sympathy in my eyes. "Man" and "City" nicknames, climbing up trees and throwing stones at Jamie Oliver's windows I have still lots to read so I guess I comment next time when I've actually read the whole article. E. Remember that Greedy Soul tweet? It's actually one of his songs And it sounds amazing according to Kessler. "It sounds like Marc Bolan playing Street Fighting Man" When has Bolan played that? E2. There's pre-Creation All Around The World in the Supersonic doc theyknowwhatimean Liam actually mentioned Bowie "Our kid's not weird enough to go Bowie. Putting a sax on it doesn't make you Starman."

So he's recorded some songs for next year, but isn't going solo?

So he's recorded some songs for next year, but isn't going solo? Could be releasing it as a new band with his songwriting partners, perhaps even a slight diversion by saying "I'm not going solo" if he is actually going to do a NGHFB style name- We will see in 2017 by the sound of it.

Not digging all the "my new songs will shock people" stuff on the first few pages, because we heard the exact same thing with Beady Eye, and they just...didn't. That bit of the interview I found a bit dull. Just more Gallagher big talk that will likely never fulfil expectations.
But, by christ, it's good to have him back if just for quotes like this: "[Noel]'s a cat and I'm a dog. Without a doubt. He's arrogant, sticks his arse up, comes and goes as he pleases, stands apart, just surveying. Loves being stroked. Total tart. Loves you when he wants. I only get took out on a lead. I'm not allowed on the sofa. I run around with the pack, barking, tongue hanging out. He's all aloof up there watching, licking himself and plotting. That's us alright"
And it's good to see that Pythonesque sense of humour of his remains - ""I could just see this white line in the distance, rolling towards us like beautiful mist. I'm going, 'Yeah, let's walk into the white line.' [Owen Morris] goes, 'No fucking way, man!' I'm walking towards it, the white line... suddenly the white line is coming towards us much quicker and forming into a V-shape. It's fucking hundreds of sheep and they're all running towards us!""

Cheers for the scans. A bit lengthy for me, might give it a read later this week.
Skimmed it, mind. Relying on the forum to fill me in proper.

Amazing interview. Thanks very much Jaq for posting it!
So we know he has 10-11 songs ready to be recorded. One of them is the song he performed in the pub last year which is actually called "Bold", not "Alright Now" like we thought. Very happy about that because I think it has a lot of potential if recorded right. Groovy Soul sounds interesting.
Just so excited, I was actually starting to think we might not hear from Liam musically for ages so to hear he should have an album out next year is amazing news.
The interview itself was brilliant, Liam at his very best, that right there is what we love about him, just a proper funny down to earth bloke. Never change Liam.

Anyone think Noel is gonna react to this... He pretty much made him look like a big pussy... Pardon my language. Also I wonder what Marr will say...
Thoughts..

Completely blasted Noel. If what he says is true about Noel and he's just one small man pretending to be large, this will surely ruffle his jimmies.
Figured about no music soon. Hopefully early 2017 though. I wish he'd give us a tease. As far as it being amazing, well, of course he's going to say that to promote it. Can't let such comments get me too excited or I will end up disappointed like with 'Bring The Light'.
I am most excited about a pre Creation All Around The World.

Anyone think Noel is gonna react to this... He pretty much made him look like a big pussy... Pardon my language. Also I wonder what Marr will say... Thoughts.. Marr will block/unfollow him on Twitter, just like he did during the referendum with anyone who disagreed with him More seriously I don't think he has said much that hasn't been covered before re: Noel and his solo career. As far back as 1996 it was being suggested to Noel and I think if he hadn't been going through prescription drug issues and personal problems in 2000 he may well have called it a day and gone solo then. It would be interesting to see how Liam would have carried on from there as Gem and Andy were still unknowns standing in for original members to the wider public at that time, although with the music business not on it's arse quite as badly sales wise he could well have launched his own similarly successful solo career with or without a later Oasis reunion- one of those things we will never know unfortunately. Johnny Marr I don't see how he wanted to be the front man though, given that he spent the best part of his first two decades as a professional being the guitarist, producer and backing vocalist in his various bands. I think by the time he recorded Boomslang with The Healers in 2003 (although it was recorded earlier) it was simply a case of necessity if he wanted those songs out without auditioning more singers, etc. The Guardian in it's review at the time expressed surprise at the time his debut as a solo artist had taken when compared to past and contemporary guitarists- The Guardian 2003 I can only assume that Johnny being a close friend of Noel and them sharing similarities in being ex-guitarists and songwriters in successful bands who are now forging solo careers without their respective singers is what prompted the comparison, although it could just as easily be Liam on a wind up for the sake of it.

The bit about him always tweeting about Noel made me laugh out loud, can just imagine him sat there pissing himself as he tweets something out that he knows is gonna wind Noel up. Quite a few things made me laugh out loud actually.
