Noel was at Bono's I think? Bono is at his house in South France. De Niro was probably there too.

i wonder what they talked about i can imagine noel being a fan of de-niro ie goodfellas taxi driver casino deer hunter etc cant see rob being an oasis fan They could have met before through Naomi Campbell and the whole Primrose Hill set. Dave Massey who is currently head of Island Records was Epic Records head of A&R who signed Oasis worldwide during his stint, and helped get Naomi Campbell an album out in 1994 called babywoman in October 1994. She was signed by Tommy Mottola at the behest of De Niro who was dating her around that period, and he gave her to Dave Massey as a recording artist to complete a record. Massey talks about it along with Oasis (including Naomi being preparation for Liam Gallagher! ) and other aspects of his career in a February piece for Billboard Magazine . Side note Naomi was fairly choatic if De Niro is to be believed, calling the NYPD and Firefighters to his apartment because she suspected he had another woman there, and slamming actress Troy Beyer against a limo outside his Tribeca Grill restuarant in NY- perfect woman for Flatulence Panic with that kind of resume

THIS.. Actually happened!!!"

Granted ive never met Noel so I cant comment first hand. Im just goin by what he says
I have met Liam, and he was one of the nicest guys ever. He gave me a hug and had a photo and spoke to my girlfriend and I for a least 15 minutes while we were waiting for our planes. He also thanked us for the support and for going to watch Beady Eye.

That's funny, because when you look on Instagram there are plenty of pictures of Noel with fans.
Of course taking a picture with fans doesn't say anything, and I've never met either of them, so I wouldn't know.

Noel never shook my hand when I met him, he shook everyone else's hand in front of me. He'll forever be a vagina in my eyes now.

I've met both of them. Noel in 2011 and Liam in 2014 and I must say Liam Gallagher was a really nice and a gentle man. When they arrived in Paradiso, I saw Andy was walking to us, but I didn't see Liam. Suddenly somebody picked my BE inner sleeve which I had in my hand and when I looked at the person, it was Liam.
I've met quite some musicians and Liam was one of the nicest among with my forever guitar hero, Richard Ashcroft, Weller and Fran Healy. Noel wasn't very friendly unfortunately. He came, signed, said no word and he went. Maybe he had a bad day, I don't know.

Dunno if it's intentional, I did meet Noel once and he asked glumly whether I 'needed a selfie'. Never having taken one in my life and looking at his face it looked like a smacked arse, I in my own deadpan glum manner said 'nah, you're alright'. Possibly surprised by the refusal he did laugh at that though. Perhaps you have to out misery him in the misery stakes (though that was never my intention).
I've always thought Liam would be more amiable towards fans though, and it's nice to see that it's backed up here. One thing Liam is not is pompous, an accusation that can definitely be thrown at Noel. He seems a lot more grounded - it's interesting then that the press can easily spin one brother as good and the other bad when, in reality, maybe it's the other way around. Up until the aftermath of Chasing Yesterday, I always thought he was sound but lately reading interviews, it's only ever about hanging out with mostly boring A-list celebs and thinking the world and his fans owe him everything in interviews, he certainly seems up his own arse at times - perhaps he ought to read this forum for a rude awakening, discovering that many of us think his albums are mid tempo plodders (dunno about you, but I'm beginning to get bored with his solo stuff).
I don't feel compelled to buy his new album when it's released if he's not going to change things around to be brutally honest - balls to 'loyalty', it's not like supporting a football team and if Noels new album isn't very good then I'm not wasting my money on it. People get bored (see his latest album sales which are a far cry from his debut solo album) and I'm honestly getting to that stage now.

I met Noel a couple of times. Both times he was pretty grumpy but still signed stuff & took some photos. The missus met Liam & said he was a lot more chatty etc.

I've never met either of the and probably never will. Noel is the man who wrote Live Forever, Liam the guy who sang it. The end.
I can tell you there are far worse people than Noel Gallagher in the "showbiz" world. I couldn't care less about that kind of thing anyway.
Oh and the main problem of Noel's solo is not the tempo, but the melodies. Yes, Noel doesn't write Half The World Away or The Masterplan anymore, sadly for us.

I met Noel in 2011 and Liam in 2013. Noel was okay but didn't say much, just posed for a few photos and slagged off my t-shirt (which to be fair was a Pretty Green t-shirt - big mistake!). He sloped off after a couple with quite a few people still waiting who unfortunately didn't get a photo or an autograph. When I met Liam it was just after that Beady Eye acoustic gig in London, and he came out the back after and the contrast was quite stark. He hung around for ages chatting to everyone and taking pics, and although there was a similar sized crowd he didn't disappoint anyone by getting off early. Top bloke!

Liam is the nicest celebrity I've met. I've already told you all about the story when I met him so I wont bore you to much with it again but he was brilliant with me, he didn't have to speak to me at that party but he stayed with me for half an hour just chatting about different things. When I asked him for a picture he grabbed my phone and started taking photos of us both, was an amazing experience. Later on in the night he saw me at the bar and came over and asked if I was alright and stuff. Top man.

I think the whole media thing is spun that way because Noel is more open to giving them interviews and 'playing the game'. Liam on the other hand cannot be arsed with them most of them time, and is quite guarded. I've met Noel once and he was a moody little arsehole. Put it down to a bad day, but from what others have said that seems to be his way. I've met Liam a few times and he is an absolute gentleman going by those experiences. He is genuinely appreciative of the fans, and I get the impression that he is pretty much unaffected by the money and fame.
