Is it just me or does Noel seem really weird at this gig?
It's the most nervous i've seen him at a gig.

Noel singing at Acquiesce is horrible. At the intro of Acquiesce you can see that he gives a angry look to Tony.

Personally I liked Tony's drumming, I Liked the no nonsense , basic style. It suits a lot of early oasis. Sure he probably had to go, but as you say...he doesn't deserve the NG bashing

Noel should have been kicked out of Oasis after that gig the same as Brian Harvey was kicked out of East 17

Alan White is as far as I'm concerned a jazz drummer. He gets that style from his brother Steve. Whereas Tony is more punk/rock n roll therefore fitting in with the original oasis sound much better imho.

Odd that Alan gets labelled a jazz drummer, even though his brother is one, as he talked to Rhythm Magazine about how he couldnt get into Jazz but got into funk and soul instead as his base for drumming. The Southend gig was near the end for Tony anyway, his last show being five days later at Sheffield Arena (22nd April) so his relations with Noel were probably very strained by then.

Wow I just found the whole gig on YouTube and couldn't stop watching. That voice, the time, the place, the attitude. Unstoppable. You always know an Oasis gig is going to be good when Liam is swigging lager not water. Here is the full gig: I remember watching this years ago on YouTube at college but the videos were split up and the quality was terrible. Above video is much better.

Seriously. There And Then is the better DVD, though - at their absolute best.
