The most famous one is probably when Noel forgot the lyrics to Spaceman on Live by the Sea and had to abort the song entirely.
Another incident I know of was on the Brotherly Love tour, Paris, 2001. The band screwed up Supersonic. I think they missed a verse or something. Somehow they managed to finish the song but Noel was clearly embarrassed.
I think Noel said that during the US tour in mid 90s, Bonehead and Guigs started playing Supersonic when they were supposed to be playing RNRS.

Somewhere in 2000 when Liam forgot the lyrics to the "there are many things that I would like to say to you" part of Wonderwall.
The Whatever incident at Maine Road, if you can count that.

anyone know the gig when alan white cocked up the end of C&A, the song ended in a mess and Noel got proper edgy with him over it?
Noel was going off saying something like "what the fuck was that about?" Liam said "its alright we cant get it right everytime" then Noel replied "oh we can, round of applause for the shit drummer"

And it's a gig I still kick myself for not trying harder to get tickets for. After C and A, Noel goes "It's almost McCarroll like!" Somebody made 2 (!) CD comps from on stage fuck ups which were uploaded on sound and vision.

Liam sings the wrong lyrics during Some Might Say. Noel sees the funny side.

Isn't that just cos it's bad quality? like the VHS tape slips

The sound on the broadcast master tape will be fine. In cases where the only copy has wow on it, there's an ingenious audio restoration program called Capstan which can seamlessly cure the problem. Very useful for rescuing archive material that may only survive on a wobbly old tape. There's a demo of it on YouTube below.

I guess, from Liam's POV the whole 2nd night in Wembley 2000 counts? Especially nice is "Gas panic!", with Noel looking ready to kill him at one moment.
And a nicer almost one, when Liam almost forgets to return for his "We're gonna live forevaaah!" with Tony laughing.

That 94 gig in Los Angeles where they were all seriously drugged up with Ringo Starr in the audience count? Lots of screw ups throughout if I recall correctly.

That's The Whiskey in LA that tomlivesforever referred to earlier. You can listen to the whole thing, which starts with aborted versions of Rock N' Roll Star and goes downhill from there. This was the show that led to Noel leaving the band briefly and heading for San Francisco after a backstage row, partly because the others had been up partying on various substances. The night before Bonehead's brother Martin, who lived in L.A. had had his neighbours call the police because a wired Bonehead was in the street in front of his house with a guitar and amp repeatedly blaring out the chords to Supersonic, an incident in Paul Mathur's "Take Me There" book. Liam on the 2nd night of Wembley was by equal parts edgy and tragic, IIRC from being there now I'm getting old! I distinctly remember him miming both a wanker sign and the digging of a grave at Noel during one solo, with Noel studiously ignoring him.

The Whiskey in 94' was a screw up throughout. Just listened to this. Amazing how many screw ups there were throughout. I dunno what Noel was complaining about because he screwed up just as much as the others.

Liams vocals were fairly....interesting on that tour, managed to sound somewhat robotic.

First show I ever saw them do was in Montreal in 2002...they had to restart cigarettes & alcohol after Liam started singing the 2nd verse first, better man when the drum loop thing screwed up and...one other one that Noel sang (possibly wonderwall). Dearly wish a tape would surface from that show.

There are two versions of Supersonic when they performed for MTV 120 Minutes in the States in 94.
One is fine but on the other Noel got lost in his guitar solo which went on for ages and the band got so confused they eventually stopped playing with a big chunk of the song missed out.
Can't find it on YouTube but got it on tape somewhere, it's very funny. At the end they're all just stood there scratching their heads like, what the fuck happened there?
Then Liam tries to rescue the situation by announcing "Crisp break" as for some reason he's got a big bag of crisps with him.
