They have been doing that for the past few years. It's a recurring thing, just like the reunion rumours. It's bullshit.

I wonder how much money bookies have made from morons betting on Oasis headlining Glastonbury the last few years?

I wonder how much money bookies have made from morons betting on Oasis headlining Glastonbury the last few years? They must make some amount because normally the market only opens for a few days after the Oasis reforming stories every few months.

We may as well open threads for Oasis at Glastonbury 2018, 2019 and 2020. Just to save people the hassle of inevitably doing them year after year.

Old(ish) thread I know, but to be honest I would have mixed feelings about it. The positives are it could be one last hurrah and the chance for those who arent double old b**tards like me to see the band live, and it would bring a neat end to their career as well as stopping the inevitable annual "will they reform?" crown that they ironically took from The Stone Roses (15 years after taking the zeitgeist from them and ever since). A follow up LP could happen but is in my opinion less likely unless it's a complete Noel written affair, which brings you to who would be in the band (discussed alot on forum already) The downside for the band would be if it goes anything like Glastonbury 04, only this time it's remembered as your final gig. I think that would really hammer any realistic chance of more gigs or a full blown reunion. As for Glastonbury I know these days it's a corporate love fest but in some ways I feel they may as well book the Knebworth lineup for main stage on Friday and Saturday and have done with the whole heritage (see also- "wallowing in the past" & "rose tinted specs") thing. Although Kanye West and Jay Z were not universally popular choices, and were arguably past their respective sell by dates at least it showed a taste for higher billing non-guitar based music, which could also be augmented by moving up and coming guitar bands higher on the bill. Just some thoughts, but to be honest if it happens, it happens whatever I or others on here may think. So if it does hope for the best and enjoy the gigs if you go, and if they don't enjoy the memories if you were lucky to see them as I was or if you didn't trawl through hours of footage and lose yourselves in it

It would be a shame if it was a one night only event, but it's better than having this reoccurring rumor that they'll be together- which ends up frustrating the fans that genuinely would love to see them live. This is going to happen every single year. By the way, I heard a rumor from a friend of a friend that Oasis is going to headline in 2065. Sarcasm, but people will come up with some rumor like this every single year.

Third time for me, can't wait to get back. Don't think he'll play but a HFB set would be nice though I've got no doubts whatever the lineup is it'll be great.

Noel is going to be in Mexico in March right? So I'm guessing good chance he will be heading to coachella as well.

Realistically I think Noel will be at Glastonbury with the birds and blur or Coldplay headlining.
