Do people think of it as an album filler or just a very "odd" song? I think its not either of the two! The song has been stuck in my head for a week and I cannot stop listening to it. Why is such a gem of a tune so darn overlooked?

Love Columbia, definitely in my top 10 Oasis songs. Can't get enough of the live at the Barras version.

Tough question .....at first I liked , but quickly got tired of it , very monotonous tune , not a filler , it's a tune you either really like or not, I just think it's boring these days Funny how your ear can change

Why is such a gem of a tune so darn overlooked? I've never been a fan of the album version, I prefer the white label demo and the live versions from 2001-4. It's pretty amazing that it only has three chords that loop round constantly for the whole 5mins or so but it doesn't sound repetitive at all. Defo a great tune!

I'm the opposite of kalas. I used to think it was dull and plodding but I really grew to appreciate it over time.

I also thought this song could've had a better guitar tone. But that doesn't detract from its greatness. that's my only gripe with it. just needs a better overall guitar tone.

this is great
the only performance after 96 I felt like they pulled it off in style was glastonbury 04, the played it way too slow during 02.

I like the version of this from the first night at Knebworth even more than the Barrowlands, Noel screaming at the end gives me goosebumps every time

One of my favourite Oasis songs - it's the same three chords over and over again, but that makes it trance like and hypnotic and the guitars keep getting layered on as the song goes on and the momentum builds and builds and builds. And then it fades out - it's like an express train that passes by and you can hear it go on in the distance.
It's so epic and easily the coolest song of all time!

It was never overlooked. The played it as late as... 2002? Its a fucking brilliant tune, I reckon Liam could still sing it, definitely a track they'll be doing on the reunion tour!

Because Liam wrote the chorus. Really? I thought Liam didn't have any involvment in writing songs until the Giants album.

How do we even know they are officially reuniting? Did Liam or Noel say so yet? If not, well, in our dreams it'll happen I guess. But if Noel or Liam come out and say it truthfully to our faces that it will happen for sure, then yeah I'd think this would be great for a reunion tour.

Don't forget "Liam Gallagher and Friends" performing it as recent as 2013, for that "Night for John Brookes" with the Charlatans. I think he did a good job there, but then, I would. And watching him sexually assault Bonehead will never get old.

There was the story where Liam claimed he came up with the "I can't tell you the way i feel because the way i feel is oh so new to me" bit. Noel summed it up as a messy night on lsd in Real People's studio in Liverpool that no one recollect quite clearly.

It was played at Glastonbury 2004. Other than the also-mentioned Charlatans night, I'm pretty sure that was the last time.

this was probably the best song of the night at glastonbury, Liam sounded good compared some of the others that night, Noels mic was turned right down though. The intros so cool, such a solid sound.
