Does anyone know why She is Love was chosen to be put out as a double a-side with LBL?
I assume it was talked about back in 2002? Seems a very strange choice, maybe they had nothing better lying around.

In the Time Flies DVD Noel says it's one of his favourite songs. The song was around at the time, and only a few other songs on HC were single worthy really.
Besides which, it's a nice contrast to the bombastic tone of LBL - and with NG there's always the chance that he made the decision just off the cuff to be honest.

Should have probably just been the b-side. Definitely didn't deserve a place on the album, never mind as a single.

The SOTSOG period was a very dark period for Noel, with his divorce and all. She Is Love was written about Sara, after that whole dark period, so I guess he was just happy that he was happier and in love and all, that he got enthusiastic and just put it out.
That or he can't judge his own songs.

I'm curious, why do people here dislike it so much? Is it considered cheesy, or does it have bad production? To me it's a perfectly catchy, quick little ditty.

I like it. Sometimes. It's not on my playlist of the album, but I listen to it from time to time.
Does anyone know if this was written before or after songbird? Because I've always wondered if Noel heard songbird and thought 'I'm having a go at that', or if the band were working through that electric demos of songbird and then thought 'why don't we do it like She is love?'
I prefer Songbird

I don't mind She Is Love at all, it's a nice little number but I think it would improve in value a lot more if it were played live on tour.

After the other 4 singles, 'She Is Love' and 'Force of Nature' jump out as being the next best candidates for a single release to me.

I always thought the same thing. First time I heard it, I didn't think it was Noel singing it.
