Very sorry to hear of the passing of Turnbull Hutton as well.

This is the first time I've watched St Mirren properly this season. They're utterly atrocious and look a certainty to be playing Championship football next season. That third goal might be the final nail in the coffin.

Quite impressive how St. Mirren have managed to make two disastrous managerial appointments in the same season. You'd think they would have learned from their mistakes of appointing from within the first time round but apparently not! That's not to say not renewing Danny Lennon's contract was a bad thing, they've just went about it the wrong way.

Lennon wasn't exactly the greatest manager around, but he kept them up and won them a trophy, I bet a lot of the St. Mirren fans who were calling for his head feel a bit different now.

I saw Div MacDonald (Mr Pie and Bovril) get interviewed before the game and he was adamant that Lennon should have gone when he did, despite the cup success.

I think things were stagnating under Lennon though. Sure, he did ok keeping them each year and winning the cup was a great achievement but he never seemed to learn from his mistakes, especially in the transfer market. A change was the right idea, but bringing in Tommy Craig was a terrible decision.
I do think Danny Lennon was a bit harshly trated at the end of his time though. It seemed pretty clear to me anyway that they weren't going to renew his contract, so it would have been nicer for them to announce that with a couple of weeks left and let him have the last home game to say farewell to the fans. Instead, they waited until after that game which I thought was a but harsh.

Still I'm looking forward to playing them next season. They always seem to be good games and attract large travelling supports from both sets of fans.

Where's your faith, you'll be with the big boys once you beat The Rangers 2012 in the playoff final :-) You're right, I shouldn't write us off just yet. A lot will depend on whether we win at Queens on Sunday. If we win that then I'm confident we can make the playoffs and maybe even catch Hibs for 3rd place. Lose it and we'll be struggling, especially as we play Rangers and Hibs in the last two games. Winning the playoffs will be an incredible tough ask though. It doesn't even matter who we play, just the sheer number of games in such a short space of time. I think I'd rather get to a cup final than win promotion this season.

Dundee derby this evening. If The Fun can't beat us tonight, they never will.

Hmm...where to start?
First of all, it was a very poor performance from us. No creativity up front and we ended up punting long, high balls up to John Baird, who is 5'8". He's not going to win headers against 6'+ defenders. Horribly frustrating performance.
But, and I say this after having calmed down a great deal, the way Livingston conducted themselves tonight on the pitch was utterly disgraceful. From the minute they scored their opener (10 minuets) every single player without exception began the most blatant display of time wasting and playacting I have even seen from any team. Every single throw-in, goal kick, free kick for either side, they were kicking the ball away, running away with it, taking an age over every set piece, and just generally cheating. Their winner came form a long throw that was taken about 15 yards further up than it should have been. The incredibly weak referee didn't actually wise up to their tactics until about the 75th minute where he booked about three of their players in as many minutes. Even the coaching staff were getting their fill. The club is and always has been run by cheats and that has clearly permeated the collective mindset of the team. A truly disgusting, pathetic excuse for a football club and I will take great pleasure in seeing them relegated and hopefully liquidated.
The Queens game on Sunday is now a must win (as if it wasn't anyway) and for the first time in my life, I'm hoping for a Rangers victory tomorrow night. A vast improvement required over tonight and if we really struggle this much without Loy then I fear for next season.

I like Jackie, I really do, but he appears to have lost the plot. We haven't won a league game since January 24th and have only scored one goal in open play since then. It's crazy how our season has just fell apart. From pumping The Fun 6-2 on New Years Day to that shambles last night in such a short space of time is mental.

Fuck off Rangers. That looks like our league campaign's over now. Have they sacked their proofreader as well?

James Fowler is the man, Killie shouldn't have let him go in the first place. Club legend.

Also the Dons managed a 2-1 win on my 21st birthday, good choice of score line.

Hey, we won a game. Still a really pish performance though, Hamilton should have won really. We will go down next season if big changes are not made.

As if we didn't already know it, Doncaster and the SPFL have shown themselves to be weak and completely incompetent over the last 24 hours.
