I really feel like adding drums to the song kind of ruined it. It would have been better if it were just Noel and a guitar on a slightly lo-fi recording...maybe some light bass.

The demo version is miles better than the album version. It's more "intense", something that the definitive version lack of. I'm beyond disappointed with the album version. It needed to just stay acoustic guitar, Noel's voice, and nothing else.

I was disappointed with the final album version, it was not what I had expected. Somehow I feel that the drums dominate the song too much, and that Noels vocals follow them more than the melody of the song and the guitar. Not enough focus on the melody, the guitar and the lyrics. Still I feel that it has some qualities that makes it enjoyable. The atmosphere of the song is interesting, and the solo is very god IMO. It's a bit like a different song, that you can enjoy alongside the brilliant accoustic version he played together with Mike Rowe a while back (which I have to admit is way better though. It's just that it's not the version I would like to have on the album.
Btw: is it just me, or does it sound a bit like Broken Arrow?
