That's the "News of the World" interview. It was on a free promo CD with the paper. I think there were some tracks on the CD also

"News Of The World" free promo CD has 5 tracks on it: 1. Bring The Light 2. Four Letter Word 3. The Roller 4. Sons Of The Stage 5. World Outside My Room and Sons Of The Stage official video and exclusive 17 minute interview by John Robb with Liam and the band.

I know him as a writer. I have read his book about the Stone Roses as well as the very interesting "North will rise again" about the Manchester music scene and all its musicians. The second one is not so much himself telling, but a compilation of quotes from all the people involved. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in that.

John Robb was in a band called Goldblade and in one called The Membranes. Neither looks familiar to me.

It's a bit odd saying "It's pretty punk rock" and then show "The Roller".
