I hate to say this, but having a panel discussion about Noel's life and work sounds a bit pretentious. Would make more sense if those guys had a general discussion about music or just hire a few journalists and call it an interview. Am I the only one who finds that a bit strange? Or maybe it is the first and they make it sound as if it is mainly about Noel for marketing reasons? That's what I thought but I'm sure that article was just phrased badly.

Kind of wish it was just Noel and Nicky together. Two legendary songwriters discussing their passion and craft.
Hamish McBain - I read his stuff when he was an NME writer back around 2008, he's ridiculously biased towards everything Oasis, no room for criticism. He's one of the fanboys and it could well turn into a brown-nosing session if he gets too much time.

Noel is doing this for XFM. XFM is 3 letters. A triangle has 3 sides.
Illuminati confirmed.

It's fans paying to "interview" Noel for charity, what's wrong with that? Agreed.

Liam can't sit still for 15 minutes so that's why.

Liam can't sit still for 15 minutes so that's why. Also, liam rarely has anything interesting to say. Great front man, but not the best storyteller. He's better at delivering a nice catchy one-liner than telling stories. Unlike Noel, who can do both.

I hope someone record it and we're gonna have at least something like these. Btw any chance of getting this New York thing as a whole somewhere ? Seems like an interesting interview but there are only few 3 minutes vidoes of it on you tube.

I have no empathy, it's his own fault. Idiot. Throwing everything you've worked for away because you're having trouble keeping your sausage in or even protecting it. I doubt he doesn't have money though.

I doubt he doesn't have money though. Honestly, it's difficult to know how much money Liam really has at this point. I mean, he made a lot of money in Oasis, but not so much that it couldn't be burned through. I believe he's well-off, but I don't know if he's mega-rich right now. I mean, it's not like he's been earning the massive checks with Beady Eye that he was earning with Oasis. And Oasis was five years ago. That's a long time breaking even (that my guess, I don't know how much Liam has earned from Beady Eye) from your main profession, especially when I don't think he's cut back on his lifestyle too much. Factor in how much he'll have to pay in a divorce, which should be a decent chunk of his net worth, and the fact that the woman he had the child with is looking for 3 mill with weekly child support...I mean, Liam has a lot of money, but that much? I mean, let's assume that his former lover gets what she wants, 3 million. Now let's assume that Nicole gets double that in any divorce, that's 9 million combined (and that's being conservative with how much Nicole gets). Even if Liam is worth double that, say 18 million, that's still half of his net worth. That also doesn't include property that Nicole might get in a divorce and any other thing. That's going to be a massive chunk taken away from Liam.

That's going to be a massive chunk taken away from Liam. all that translates to Liam won't be retiring from making music anytime soon....whether it be another BDi album or more likely, an Oasis album because the profits will be monumentally more. ------- child support is way too fucking high for wealthy people....i think half a million is plenty to support a child though the age of 18 and even cover their college education if they so choose to go that route. that chick wants $3 million....? That's fucking ludicrous, and it's probably one of the main reasons why BDi didn't tour/promote BE that much - less money Liam has to declare and fork over. end rant (for now). God bless.

I'm sure it's not because he doesn't have the money.
It's probably just all tied up with the divorce. I'm sure Nicole's lawyer would insist on a full accounting of sole and joint assets before he is allowed to just chuck over a few million to a baby-mama.
As for Noel. I'm hoping him doing things like this is an indicator that he is beginning to raise his public profile again in prep for the album announcement or because by that point he'll have an album slated for release.

I find the term " baby mama" really funny, and also really trashy and annoying. I'm not trying to single you out or anything, it's just that term rubs me the wrong way, like most other popular culture terms of recent years, including "amazeballs", etc. even "just saying" annoys the shit out of me and I popularized the fucking saying! just saying.

But who knows if he had to give any shares of it up in the divorce. If not I think he could live quite well off that and keep the same lifestyle
