I'm still deciding if i should buy this. I downloaded a copy and wasn't impressed with the remaster. And the demos are rather bland as well. Might save my money for the reissue of Heathen Chemistry.

I just bought the BHN boxset today, finally found it for £110 in a Rough Trade shop so had to buy it.
Its still incredible that we got new songs and ALL OF MUSTIQUE! I never thought in a million years we would get what we got.

it is believed that Noel sold For One So Young to Andy and it became The Beat Goes On

I love this reissue, but the best part of it to me by far was the DYKWIM rethink. It's so fucking good and I need an entire album of it.
Noel really fucked up by not re-thinking the entire album. I don't even care if all the songs were kept the same length, I'd kill to hear all the tracks with that stunning HD clarity, enhanced bass, and slightly different instrumentation than the final album mix.
It's such a wasted opportunity for something that would only take half an hour of work.

As good as the rethink of DYKWIM is, once the whole buzz around the reissue announcement and release had died down a bit, I went back to listening the original version more again. Pretty certain in 2017 to date, the original's got a lot more plays than the rethink.

One thing that pisses me off with these reissues is that the original artworks inside the booklets with the lyrics and all aren't there anymore. Instead we get a few uninteresting photos and quotes. I want Liam with a pint of beer, the cool collage, etc... back. Finding Liam with a pint of beer shouldn't be problem.

It and Don't Believe The Truth were my introduction to Oasis.

Glad I didnt buy the box, the remaster is (imo) no improvement at all. You can even hear the difference on Spotify (free) between the 97 and 16 versions, there might be more bass on the latter one, but that's about it. It just doesnt sound very good or fresh as it should. A shame, they should have done a remix (like the dykwIm rethink) to make this a worthy release. The mustique demos are allright, glad to add it to the collection, but that's about it.

We got all the Mustique demos, which was legendary in itself, plus 2 brand new songs and a handful of other brand new demos. The Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory boxsets probably weren't worth picking but Be Here Now definitely was in my opinion, even with the 3 figure price tag.

well of course, the mustique and the two new songs were worth the purchase alone (as I did, the 3cd version), but to pay more than 100 euros for a remaster that isn't really a improvement or special is a bit much for me

Really they should have put a lot more exclusive content within the boxsets and they would have been a lot more appealing.

The main reasons why I bought DM and BHN box sets are demo's and for my collection, yet those prices are ridiculous. Still BHN box set were the best of all 3 and if they wouldn't have f**ked up with Trip Inside demo, this Chasing The Sun releases would have been phenomental.

I'm still enjoying the Mustique demos quite a lot.
I haven't fully realized yet that we got the full tape in glorious quality after all these years!
