He's the drummer's twin brother isn't he? I'd be surprised if he is the producer, more likely Noel doing it himself with a bit of help like Heathen Chemistry, even though that was an awful sounding album.

Wow, I don't know what's worse, Noel producing it himself or Dave Sardy coming back to do it again.
Imagine 10 songs like she's the one and freaky teeth demos produced in the style of HC r/cringe #DadRockOverload

He was the sound engineer on SOTSOG and HC. He also mixed Let there Be Love and Mucky Fingers and produced the Alt. version of the Turning and Waiting for the Rapture. I believe he also mixed Shoot a hole in the Sun. I'm pretty sure he produced the b-sides/bonus tracks from NGHFB too So most likely he produced all HFB album before it was given to sardy to rework / 'redo the drums'

I'm pretty sure he produced the b-sides/bonus tracks from NGHFB too So most likely he produced all HFB album before it was given to sardy to rework / 'redo the drums' I'm pretty sure that was the case anyways. I feel like the original HFB's was Stacey and Noel as you've said. I believe Noel trusts Stacey just as much as he trusts Sardy. I mean he let Stacey end Noel's first solo album with the solo in Stop the Clocks. I believe Noel is doing the same thing again: pre-recording and demoing in London with Stacey, then going to LA to record with Sardy, then finishing the mastering NY. It's what makes the most sense with the locations we know he's been to and what he did last time. I personally think that maybe Stacey should produce the whole album. Yea, Mucky Fingers and Let there be Love are both washes production wise (though I think Mucky Fingers was meant to be a wash), I think the alt. version of the Turning, Waiting for the Rapture, and the b-sides to HFB's sound pretty good production wise, especially Let the Lord Shine a Light on me.

I repeat it, I don't believe Sardy has got anything to do with this record We know it's finished, but we've never heard or read anything about Noel in LA

I believe there was a mention of him being in LA. There was the pic of him and Morrisey in LA from last year of July. You posted the picture yourself in the Noel working on something thread fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/p480x480/1004820_503317066412464_233452973_n.jpgAnd Webby's Pet Cat Gallagher did say Noel was demoing at the time and that was around the time he spotted outside Ignition with a synth.

We know it was recored in london / state of the ark studio's so it is likely it's been done in house with stacey and noel

I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that he was at least demoing at that stage at that point in the year, around the same time the Morrisey photo was taken. Let's remember, Noel recorded HFB's from 2010-2011. That's at least a full year of recording. With the photos of him in LA and him by Ignition studios, we're only talking about this time last year. The time frame does make sense. And for all we know, after having the re-do his album after Sardy came in and said it wasn't good, this time Noel decided to bring Sardy in from the very beginning, including the demoing stage.

Let'a say he was demoing at the time, we've still never seen Noel in LA since then...
Sardy is not involved, I'm pretty sure about it

I'm just happy to hear it's finally done. I don't care how it's released as long as the songs are good, and the album sells well enough, and Noel can tour again and play some big shows and festivals. I hope the comparisons to Definitely Maybe live up to expectations (well, nothing can realistically reach the level of DM in achievement, status, influence, etc. but it'd be nice if the DM spirit was in this album).

It's gonna be mega. In fact, I hate to say it, but the wait is making me lick my chops even more.

I wonder how the album will sound, the first one was overproduced in places.

Noel said he wasn't looking forward to touring again, so if he does decide to do so, don't think it will be as big as last tour. As long as he comes back to Aus haha.

Let's hope for a record closer to the sound of his demos. I liked the first one, but it felt like a bit of life got taken off the songs. the 2010 demos however, sounded gorgeous.

What's up with the extremely fake sounding mellotron at the beginning? Go more organic Noel. You. Can. Do. Better. #DumpSardyIn2015
