So, who has been involved? Someone who has featured on Oasis recordings and has also been on tour Mark Feltham?

I know this will never happen, it's been said before but anyone think he'll be brave for once.. And just drop it like he had admiration for Bowie doing I'm sorry. But I think that would be an idiotic thing for Noel to do. Bowie hadn't released an album in over a decade. Of course the unannounced release of an album got tons of press. Noel is a product of the 90's not the 60's-70's. So he doesn't have 45+ years of nostalgia working in his favour. And he released an album less than 3 years ago at this point. Hardly long enough that a new release pre-announced or not is going to be a shocking revelation. I know it seems cool. But the number of artists that type of release would work for like it did Bowie is pretty slim. At the end of the day we all have to acknowledge that music is a business as well as an art. These guys aren't sinking their own money into these recordings with no thought of at least recouping their loss or better yet making a profit. Sometimes I think this whole "they do it for the love of music not money" idea is totally naive.

Sometimes I think this whole "they do it for the love of music not money" idea is totally naive. But the people of the 60-70s aren't Bowies instant release buying customers they aren't relevant to instant release it's the record buying kids of today of the late 90s and 00 which is more Noel's relevance of customers. I said I didn't think he'd do it but the album is starting to become irrelevant to the industry or that isn't where they make their money anymore. In the uk we are now using streams as part of the 'charts' noel dropping a new tune on YT / spotify tomorrow for streaming would guarantee a higher chart position and exposure (and royalites) than a cd single would. (As at least the later HFB charted very poorly and didn't raise momentum at all) Like wise Noel could drop an album tomorrow and release a tour Friday and both would sell very very well. Both Coldplay and kasabian didn't really do much Q magazine and NME cover build up that model like artist would 4-5 yrs ago . is irrelevant now.if you think noel album and tour wouldn't sell out if he just dropped it your wrong it would the buzz would kick and people would get on it just the same Like I say I'm sure he won't but this release is feeling difference to HFB

If someone knows who's producing the album can they just tell us instead of making us play stupid guessing games.

Paul Stacey has been involved in countless Oasis/Noel recordings going back to the 90s, he's heavily involved in Noel's demo sessions. So him being involved in this wouldn't be a surprise at all.

Interesting, got a source for it?
For example, a little transcription for a spanish newspaper after their show in Barcelona 1997: Liam and Noel took the stage followed by three types also appear in the list of Oasis (but by anyone shows the slightest interest) and two keyboard players who, for those who want to know, are called Mike Rowe and Paul Stacey. Sorry for the translation!!

I'm starting to get really fucking excited for Noel's new album. Especially when you consider some of the potential songs that COULD appear. - Come On Outside - Freaky Teeth - The Dying of The Light - God Help Us All - Let It Come Down Over Me God only knows what else he has in store for us fans. I'd like 10/11 brand new songs, but The Dying Of The Light HAVE TO BE on there I just hope he doesn't ruin it by overproducing, just keep it as it is, an acoustic number.

What are some songs that this guy has produced in the past? I assume he does have production experience on albums and not just on basement demos, seems strange that Noel would let a n00b produce his album for him.

I could be wrong but I think he's a sound engineer or something like that, I guess Noel just produced it with his help EDIT: Looking on wikipedia he has co-produced something by The Black Crowes and a few other things, so he definitely has got experience as a producer

I'm not a big fan of the Dying of the Light. The more I listen to it the more average it sounds to me. In it's infancy, If I had a Gun sounded like a far superior song. That song sounded like it might have been Noel's best in 10 years and should remain stripped down. Dying of the Light just sounds like Noel's regular acoustic tune. I would personally like some type of production behind it. By itself it's far too repetitive in progression, lyrics, and style, ie I've heard this type of song from Noel a million times. I'd like for him to try some alternative instrumentation on it rather just an acoustic or even strings or even piano. This song is begging for a different route.

He also mixed Let there Be Love and Mucky Fingers and produced the Alt. version of the Turning and Waiting for the Rapture. I believe he also mixed Shoot a hole in the Sun.
