It is a very radio friendly choice. I'm glad its getting some time in the spotlight as a single. Its got Liam's best vocals on the album IMO. Very happy song.

New single? Isn't it a bit too late or is this a joke? If they wanted to get us excited they should have release new EP (3-4 songs) before the UK tour. If true ... very generic tune, I' d go for I'm just sayin but at least we can hope for a bside

What is even the point of releasing a single at this stage?

Aye I mean what's the point in releasing a single when they are about to go on a UK tour?
I mean they wouldn't want any publicity by having a new song played on the radio or a video on the music channels now would they? Silly them.

Airplay I would suggest, if it is Iz Rite, about as much as Miles Kane and the Manics recent singles have for example as I would think they will have the same sales for album, singles and gigs. Publicity wise the music press will be more than happy to have the hits on their website should the band connected with Liam Gallagher announce they are releasing a new single to help promote their UK tour and the gutter press, whose stories you and your wee pal Pat are happy enough to post on here, will use it to their advantage and link Liam's previous behaviour to the release so I don't think there will be any hassle there.

Good post re the airplay for the single but I don't think it will help promote the tour. The people who want to go to the gigs more than likely have tickets. It's not a bad song but at this stage I don't think it will be drawing in anyone new to the band.

It's not one of my favorites off the new album. If I got to pick the album's single in order it would be:
1. Flick of The Finger 2. I'm Just Saying 3. Shine A Light
I know a lot of people don't really like Shine A Light but I dug it. The opening is great and it has a strong primal scream vibe throughout. Very driving. I do also realize that Beady Eye probably won't make a splash in the charts regardless of what songs they release. Time might have passed them by, happens to so many older bands when they reach this point in their careers. I'm Just Saying was their best bet at any kind of chart relevance and even that is a hail mary pass.

i think is a good pick for the single, nice melody song
just hope they include a brand new song for the bside, not any of the songs already release on the special edition or Japanese version

Theres more chance of Liam staying faithful to his latest stopout than you getting a new b-side.

Well, I suppose it's a better choice than SBOTA or SAL. I still think they could have chosen better, but I'm fine with it.

Guessing the B-Side will be Back After The Break as it directly follows The World's Not Set In Stone.

Kind of sucks that Beady Eye blew their load by releasing 17 (16) songs in one go.
It was nice at the time but even back then I remember thinking I'd rather have the extra songs as b-sides slowly released over about a year.
Fingers crossed for a new b-side though!

Probably no new b-side... Back After The Break only...

BE is also available to preorder on US iTunes (I'm probably not the first to notice this) so I'm sure they are related.

A great summer type tune. So yet again theres no surprise that the birdbrains decide to release it in the middle of Winter. Good tune but about as relevant as a bear shitting in the woods.

I woulda said 'Start Anew' personally, Iz Rite's very generic.

I woulda said 'Start Anew' personally, Iz Rite's very generic. Iz Rite sounds like a distant cousin of A Bell Will Ring.
