As the Summer finally arrived over here, it's time to pick some good tunes for the Summer. To start with, here's mine:
The Great Escape by The Rifles (great band, too shame to be underrated)
I truly love this song by The Rifles. and I'll pick "There She Goes" by The La's too (but as you know, it's a time-less tune)
Just Like Honey by The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Saturday's Kids by The Jam
What's yours?
Enjoy your Summer while it's still there.

Dakota by the Phonics, perfect for driving in the Summer Sun, specially if you're near the Sea The Day we caught the Train - Ocean colour scene, such a summer song, and the video was very summery, class! In the morning or 1000 years by the Coral My shameful one is ATB, 9pm till I come - just reminds me of a lads holiday I had in 1999 ( I bought this on CD, how sad!haha)

the entire (What's the Story) Morning Glory? album reminds me of summer - i truly discovered Oasis in the summer of 1996 at the age of 18, when the album was played on radio nonstop......just graduated from high school, smoking lots of marijuana and making bongs out of everything. Good times.

Wouldn't It Be Nice - The Beach Boys
Sing - Travis (remember loving this in the summer holidays in 2001 when I was 10 years old, perfect weather and the times were innocent back then!)

To add to my list from the one above ( when I deleted )
These are songs that take me back to summer because I heard them over and over again during a particuliar summer in the 80 s either playing paddleball in the heat or at a keg party at night in the woods
Red sky at night
One thing leads to another
Melt with you
Turning japanese
Feel your love tonight
Jack and Diane
Der kommisaar
American band
These tunes always seemed to be on th radio in the summers of youth and when hear them i immeadiattly flash back ........every breath you take from my first post in the thread is my all time summer classic
I remember we camped out at the record Baron for 2 wild nights getting tix for the shea stadium gig , and that song was played th whole summer of 83 ,

It's Getting Better (Man!!!) seems like the perfect summertime party tune, imo. The drums and the guitar licks are perfect to pogo along to, and dance with, plus I can imagine the outro, with all the "it's getting better man"s being absolute fun, especially if it's a party where everyone is shitfaced.
