5. Sitting Here In Silence On My Own
Very simple, slow little piano-led Noel track which is perfect for chilling on a morning off...
Love the how the guitars come in from nowhere at the end.
4. (You've Got) The Heart Of A Star
Used to listen to this on the bus every morning back in my college days. Still dont understand what 'dont be ashamed of you bones and your blister's' means but this is still a nice little song. The Outro is stunning aswell.
3. Just Getting Older
Not often you hear a sad Oasis song, which is what strikes me most about this tune. I can see myself listening to this in 20 years time and 'getting it' so to speak.
"And I bet that this is how life...." still sounds amazing to me.
2. Idlers Dream
Possibly Oasis' most tender song?
This sounds like a very sparse demo track, but it needs nothing more. I think im right im saying this is one of only three Oasis songs with no drums, and it really doesnt need any drums. it just sounds so gentle and almost vunerable..
Very underated tune here..
1. Shout It Out Loud
I love this tune. It's up there as one of my favourite all-time Oasis tunes let alone obscure B-sides. I first heard this in late 2008/early 2009. anyway I forgot all about and went a good couple of years without listening to it.. then one day a relationship came to an end and Im at home being miserable about it and I stumble across this song and the chorus "Shout it out loud that I'm alive" just made me stand and and think 'fuck it' and it was just one of those moments when a song motivates you get get on with life. And its a B-Side?!?! serious testimetn to how good Oasis were/are/always will be.

Not keen on all these "typically-Noel" songs, I find them a bit boring but shout it out loud is a tune and just getting older has some good lyrics in it. Hearing a good b side always renews my love for oasis. What's the thing with the video for heart of a star and all the pictures of Noel's wife whoever she is. Was that song written for her or something?

Was that song written for her or something? god knows, probably compiled by one of those creepy fans who stalk his wife... if it was written for his wife, maybe she has blisters? that'll explain the 'bones and blisters' line

I think im right im saying this is one of only three Oasis songs with no drums, Isn't it also the only Oasis tracks with no guitars?, just Paul Stacey on piano, Noel on vox and a synthesizer/mellotron or for the end part? Actually it strikes me now that I have no idea what the end instrument used is but I always assumed they were pissing about with a mellotron, could be a harmonium (similar sound to the one used on We Can Work it Out).

Idler's Dream is one of my favorite Oasis songs. Absolutely stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it.

No Swollen Hand Blues? I'd put Flashbax on the list along with Cigarettes in Hell.

Shout It Out Loud is my favorite Oasis b-side by far. It never gets old and is so strong. Great work of late HFP. It's a pleasure reading your threads.

That Top 5 is way too Noely, don't particularly like any of those tracks tbh. (Shout It Out Loud is decent enough i guess)
The only Noel led B-Sides i like (obscure/non-TM ones) are:
The Fame Step Out Full On Carry Us All Dyer wanna be a spaceman (Not exactly obscure, but non-TM nonetheless)

There all big piece of shit if you ask me. One way road and carry us all are shit along with those. Shout it ou loud is ok, but the production is awful.
I can't see it now, it'better people, my sister lover, cloudburst. These are great unknown oasis track. Not some overboring noel pre solo stuff.

Off the top of my head, TBWTL has no guitars, Sad Song & The Quiet Ones have no drums, Idlers Dream has no guitars or Drums...
Other than that I cant think of anymore
EDIT: Take Me Away doesnt have drums... 4 Drumless Oasis songs

I didnt realise how much I liked Noels acoustic B-sides and how many Oasis tunes dont have drums.... I'd also never heard Angel Child until Big Evil pointed it out.

It must have been years since I last listened to Just Getting Older, to the point where I'd totally blanked the song and how it goes out of my mind. If nothing else you've proved that it really is one of the most obscure b-sides

(albeit less brutally) Best Obscure Oasis B-Sides are: Alive Cloudburst Lets All Make Believe I Will Believe My Sister Lover The Fame
