Anyone else going? Never been to that venue (Tonhalle) before, any advice on when to be there to get a good spot in the crowd? Hoping for a great gig!

It was a wonderful night - me and my brother were second row, right in front of Noel Some guys next to us started a fight at the beginning and again during Record Machine, causing security to go in, but apart from that the atmosphere was great and there were lots of nice people there. The support band (Folks) really amazed me, I knew a few of their songs but they were quite charismatic on stage - their frontman seemed a bit like a mix between Ian Brown and Morrissey, and he had a tambourine great guitarist as well, had a solo in about every single song. The gig itself was amazing, Noel was on top form and had some great conversations with the crowd between songs...some guy wanted one of his picks (for his girlfriend), Noel's reaction was pretty hilarious (managed to film some of that, although I don't know if it's enough to understand what went on). There were chants of "Noel, Noel!" between many songs; before What A Life, Noel commented to his guitarist that the chant fading out and WAL fading in sounded pretty great and something about trying that for a live album (tongue-in-cheek, of course). After What A Life someone yelled "Balotelli!" and Noel said "of course, that one was for Mario Balotelli, how could I forget?" The setlist was the same as usual, although none of the songs seemed out of place to me. I was surprised how great Talk Tonight and HTWA sounded, but the highlight of the night was Broken Arrow, which is definitely (even) better live. Of course the encore with Whatever, Little By Little and Don't Look Back In Anger earned the biggest reaction from the crowd, especially when Noel let them sing the chorus of DLBIA...it was superb. Best gig I ever went to (well, not that many yet, but still ;D ) and I look forward to doing it again!
