Tomorrow, thursday the 10th, Noel will be on The Late Show with David Letterman. According to CBS, he will be on after Katie Holmes. We might expect a live webcast from this, like we did with BDI. At least something will be uploaded to youtube etc. Show airs at 11:35 pm NY time, or 4:35 am UK time.

can't believe they did a webcast for Beady Eye and not for Noel. I'd have thought that Noel appealed more to their audience.

Noel's time slot on Letterman this week is the reason he wouldn't be offered the opportunity for a webcast. The Letterman Show is dark on Fridays so they shoot two shows on Thursday. One for Thursday night and the second one for Friday so it's already an extremely long day for the crew and load of overtime being dished out. I believe Steve Martin is a guest for that second show and will perform with his banjo band as well. Maybe on Noel's next visit it will work out for a webcast.

Letterman shoots his friday show on Monday, so two shows get filmed monday. Thursday he just films earlier so he can have his early weekend. One show is filmed, its just earlier than the other tapings the rest of the week.

They now shoot two on Thursday.

nope, i went to a Letterman taping in January, on a Monday and I went to the EARLIER taping, cause he filmed 2 on Mondays.
"When Letterman is not on vacation, he and his crew work four days per week, taping Friday's show earlier in the week. From October 2001 until May 2004, Friday's show was taped on Thursdays, but since 2004 Friday's show has been taped on Mondays. For Friday's show, the Late Show monologue topics, sketches, and other segments are chosen for their lack of topicality, with few if any references to current events or any subject which would run the risk of seeming dated."

Not sure what to tell you but if you don't believe me why don't you go to the Ed Sullivan theater tomorrow around 535 pm when the second show ends and ask the people you see coming out who they just saw they will say Steve Martin as guest and musical performer. What you stated above does contain past facts but is not the case now on The Letterman show.

I'd pay money just to see Conan interview Noel. Two of my favorite people.
(Yes, I realize I'm referencing a different show, just putting it out there)

Unfortunately Americans think Steve Martin is funny... Love to see Noel on that American chat show with the Scottish guy (Craig Ferguson?). That'd be great television.

Steve Martin not funny? Well, the recent stuff is crap, but the earlier stuff is pretty good. Will stay up and watch Letterman. I wish Noel would do SNL like they did once. I don't really like Craig Ferguson all that much myself. But I don't like watching late night talk shows period, I enjoy that extra hour of sleep whenever I can. . Instead of freaking X Factor or American Idol, they should be showing those shows live instead.
