Now I can't stand the tosser, but this is funny.
Robbie Williams: “Noel’s run out of other people’s ideas.”

Why would a journo want a ticket for something that he fucking knocked in a review?
It's like saying Lady Gaga is shite... but you still want to go to her gig?

He wasn't banned. He could have bought a ticket like everyone else.
He simply didn't get free entry to one of the most highly anticipated gigs of the year because he asked a week before the gig and even the guest list had already been filled to capacity.
Someone just pitched a hissy fit because they couldn't have their cake and eat it too.
Also...pulling out quotes from artists that probably date from a decade ago? And I doubt that Noel had anything to do with it. The PR company obviously didn't think it was worth giving up precious complementary tickets to someone that was probably gonna slate Noel.
Besides...many Noel Gallagher fans didn't get tickets. Why should some guy who doesn't even like him. It's not like the gigs need any more press. I am sure every gig has adequate press coverage.
And the whole thing about "it is understood that they would have given tickets to anyone else from the paper" is obviously untrue. If they had any actual reason to think that was true, other than not believing that Noel Gallaghers press company could have possibly not cared if they got coverage from their paper, they would have said it decisively.

In his piece last week, Gary mused that “any argument that Noel is Britain’s best songwriter died a long time ago”, pointing to a series of British artists – including Thom Yorke, Morrissey and PJ Harvey – who regularly “trump” Gallagher in the songwriting stakes -----------------------------------------------

wow....don't think it's Noel's fault, that much is obvious and should go without saying. It was a bad call on the management's part.
