LOL...Apparently Spin don't realise that WAL and TDOYAM were singles in the UK...they seem to be under the impression that they leaked.

Thanks gdforever!
Love how it seems that the subject of his lyrics have really reverted back to DM. Noel has said plenty of times that many of the early tracks were about running away, leaving your surroundings, and going to some place where it would all be better.
He's really gotten back to that theme. And I think it's the theme that has always fit him best.

Weirdly it's the same kind theme in the beginning...but by the end it kind of reverses itself.
Of wanting to get away from where you are...but in the end realising that sometimes running isn't the answer. And where you are from is as important as where you have ended up. And that is very NOT early Oasis/Noel in theme.

I think this is a good theme. A lot of people our age struggle with such a dilemma at one point in this period of our lives.
Oh, and Definitely Maybe carries the theme of returning where you were, I think, but that's just my interpretation.

Columbia carries some sense of pessimism, and Digsy's Dinner alludes to a "home"...where that home is up debate.
