Intersting. With that and the NME review it's pretty sure that some of those songs are from the Garage band demos Noel was doing whilst on tour and stuff, he mentionned several times that they had a kinksy feel.

I think the fact that the advance albums being given out are by stream only is very telling....a leak is not imminent.

Here's what I just wrote to a friend. Rather than get into specifics this close to release date, I'm just gonna copy my comments here...
it's really good the songs we hadn't heard are very kinks-y like imp of being idle solid cool things like trumpets and such it's a bit mid-tempo, trippy but all the songs are top-notch if you like noel it's a home run if you like oasis you'll like it im not sure if you're not a fan but it's much better than most of what im getting sent ryan adams for instance who just made a "big" comeback album
i have high expectations for my noel the thing about this is that you can put it on like a mid-70s Elton album anytime morning afternoon for dinner sunday bruch and it's kinda perfect it's tuneful and beautifully produced and his voice sounds strong and confident so that's a pretty good trick
I'd say it's his best batch of tunes and production/album since What's the Story
i think you'll like it
it's a grown up album he's ceding the ROCK territory to liam and the boys who are all 40-ish btw this is an album that is a statement that he's going to be around for a long time doing this doing what he does and knows for a long time i think it's serious without being precious if that makes sense without being all "artsy"
he's just got the touch the whole package i mean ryan adams which i also just got is a really good album really good but he's not smart or good with the press and there's no red meat noel just does his thing and gives you some big, lovable tunes along with some "statements" that aren't too hard to take and charms the pants off you and it makes the package all the better for it

I appreciate your post, Jeff. Please don't get yourself into a trouble. I'm waiting for 14th to hold my copy of this album and to listen to it for the very first time. Get off your high horse, lady... Sorry, that was bad even by NL4E's song title pun standards. Rather than some specific part of some song I'm curious what you really think of the album as a whole, Jeff. For example, you'd say it's the best Noel-involved album since...?

I don't think I can stay away. I'm hopeless. I have no self control. "I need to know what is happening before anyone else" Noel Gallagher.

Just read your strangely-formatted list of comments. I'm pleased to see comparisons to prime Elton as I'm a huge, huge fan.

beady eye album got ripped from an e card But BE's album had already leaked this close to the release date. So can't be a guarentee of success for these e-cards

If I'm not mistaken, Ethan is a collector, not a journalist.
The leak is surely imminent now. If not today, i'm thinking tomorrow. Oooooooooooh yeeeeeeahhhhhhhhh.

What track features the electric kettle? Just glad it sounds like a good album... It's always good to have an actual fan that can tell you what it's like, rather than someone who is writing in a magazine format... (Just a shame that my friend who reviewed Kasabian's last album got it the day it leaked xD)

Thanks Jeff, very much appreciated! Love to hear all the Kinks comparisons, they're one of my alltime favorite bands, and I dig TDOYAM. I expect a leak this week, but if it doesn't leak, I won't care...it's out 2 days earlier here in Germany anyway

Isn't it possible to record a the stream with audacity or sound flower? I'm not 100% sure on the watermark business but it'd a be a different file and it's just whatever audio is coming from the computer...but if not, any clips on like a phone you could put up? Just to tease!
Anyway. Which do you like the best?
