Los Angeles, CA - September 12, 2011 - U.K.'s The Hours are excited to announce their return to North America this November for a nine-date tour with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The dates kick off in Toronto, Ontario on November 7th at Massey Hall and wind down in San Francisco, CA on November 19th at the Orpheum Theater. The Hours will also be releasing a new EP, I Want More, on Adeline Records on November 1, 2011. The tour comes one year after The Hours' first full-length U.S. release, 2010's It's Not How You Start, It's How You Finish. The album saw the band putting their own twist on Brit-pop with songs fueled by soaring choruses and powerful ballads. Produced and mixed by the band and renowned producer Flood (U2, Depeche Mode), the 11-song set features the band's iconic "Ali In The Jungle," which was featured in Nike's 2010 Winter Olympic TV/web campaign The Human Chain (http://bit.ly/aN7LmC). The Guardian hailed the band as "putting every last emotion and sinew in a death-or-glory assault on pop's heavyweight title" while The Sun said the album is "stunning and they're great live...and their fans include the Gallaghers, Damon Albarn and Bono."

This helps justify Noel's mostly absurd ticket prices. 85% of his new show is unproven, so I think his tickets are a little steep. The Hours are one of a very short list of bands that I thought Noel may pick, and apparently they are great live so this adds good value.
