Ignore... Okay, we didn't talk future singles or release dates or anything. It was pretty loose. Just a chat; not like a proper interview. And I would say the demos were just that and these are finished masters that are up to the quality of Noel's best work, if more for a mature crowd than his DM/WTSMG-era songs. One more question. I know that you only got one somewhat decent listen, but if this album came out today with just the 6 songs; where would you rank it among the other other Oasis albums? just behind DM and WTSMG? Ahead of BHN? Ahead or behind of DOYS & BDTT?

BTW, at the risk of alienating some of you I thought I'd put in a bit of a plug. My band The Badge have been around for about 15 years. We're based in NYC, but we have a big following in the East, Germany, Italy and especially the UK amongst the mod crowd. You can find us at www.thebadge.com and on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. In the past year or so, though, I have been building a solo career. You can find that info (and links to my columns) at www.jeffslate.net. I have a few things already on those same online outlets. I did a demo back in the 90's that Pete Townshend produced (that's how I met Zak) and more recently a single that featured Earl Slick and Carlos Alomar. I'm currently making an album with Steve Holley and Laurence Juber from Wings, Gene Parsons from The Byrds, Gary Van Scyoc and Adam Ippolito from the Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band and guitarist Jimmy Mack. As you guys have top taste I'd love for any or all of you to check out my work and I'd be thrilled to hear what you think. It's not at all Oasis sounding, but we draw from the same influences, so you might just find something worth 99p. Thanks for listening. You've got a lucky face. Now back to the topic at hand...

But if you mean just limited to the quality of the work I'd say... DM, WTSMG, NGHFB, DBTT, BHN... I guess I really liked it!

I'm not sure why the link doesn't work but you can get to it via The Badge site or here: www.digitalretro.com/jeffslate.htm. And BTW we will be in England on tour in November. And I'll be doing Billy Butler's BBC show and the George Harrison show in Liverpool on the 10th anniversary of his death solo. See you there! Lol.

Can you remember any of the lyrics from If I Had a Gun, Jeff? Was the chorus the same as the soundcheck?

Can you remember any of the lyrics from If I Had a Gun, Jeff? Was the chorus the same as the soundcheck? He basically answered that earlier in the thread when I asked if the structuring of the song had changed. And he said it a bit too noisy to tell and to get firm details on certain parts of the song. And he said that he hadn't listened to soundcheck enough to be able to make an accurate enough comparison. So I'm assuming that he didn't hear it well enough, couple with the fact that he hasn't heard the soundcheck version enough, to be able to tell exactly what the lyrics to the chorus were, and how they compare.

Shame to hear IIHAG sounds so much different from the soundcheck.. Although maybe it could be even better Can't wait to hear the album! I agree, but not only structure-wise, I was also hoping that the magically sounding echo from the soundcheck would still be there on the album. He should've recorded it in an empty venue!

I can't contain my excitement ahhhh...
From what you and the other reviews seem to be saying this album will be massive.
It seems to have Adeleesque type appeal ie universal because great songs are great songs in the end and you can't put lip stick on a pig..
