I have to say its very underwhelming...first listen I thought ok..now after 3 I'm over it....In a bubble with a bullet is a more interesting song ...its Noel Gallagher at his laziest, the sort of song that he can fire out without thinking as a b side

Review says Importance of Being Idle was the last 'decent' Oasis tune. This shows a critic at the height of his ignorance.

I find it hard to find In A Bubble with A Bullet more interesting. A completely incomplete song, over a very good completed song. I personally don't find song that are incomplete, more interesting than others. But hey, that's your opinion.

What on earth is "incomplete" about In A Bubble With A Bullet?

Maybe the sudden shift by the end. But I agree, the Death of you and me sounds uninspired. Hopefully it's the weakest track on the album.

I love this track! It's so catchy and radio friendly. It will be top #10 deffo I see your point, but somehow, I don't really want Noel's songs to be "radio friendly" anymore, because that would require his songs to be on the same level as the ones playing on the radio (the charts... ). Still I think that the other tracks on his album won't follow the direction of TDOYAM and they picked the most uplifting song for the first single. I do like it though, just to clarify, but I'm really looking forward to hearing the other tunes on the album, eventhough I'm still a bit more excited about the AA-collaboration

What on earth is "incomplete" about In A Bubble With A Bullet? I know, I get this too. If the songwriter finishes a song to their satisfaction and puts it out, how is it incomplete? To my ears it has a beginning, middle and end. People might not like it, but incomplete? No.

To my ears it has a beginning, middle and end. People might not like it, but incomplete? No. They put it out as a b-side. Doesn't seem like they were too satisfied by it. The song could have been ironed out. It literally sounds like 3 different songs, which isn't a good thing. A song being incomplete isn't just in the eye of the songwriter. Take Noel's Angel Child. Would anyone called that a complete track. Something that's flushed out with all it all it's kinks gone. To say that as long as a song has beginning, middle, end, it's complete is too simplistic, imo. If you go by that definition, then almost every song that fills those requirements is complete. When that is not always the case. In that definition, you could put out a random demo and call it a complete song. Because it fills those requirements. Your definition is too loose for me.

What on earth is "incomplete" about In A Bubble With A Bullet? Have you heard the ending to the song?

i was very tempted to just come out and say "this ain't even better than a couple of BDI's bsides) but i was like, hey it's Noel , it's a new song, it's different. So i went back and listened to it a couple more times. I shared it with my brother(a huge Oasis fan who likes Noel better lol), a couple of friends and my 3 cousins. The reception was mixed. some liked it, some thought it lacked punch, 2 people thought it sounded old and boring. No one really loved the song. Anyways, i listened to both songs back2back and i came to the conclusion that although Noel's song is obviously a more complete song, Liam's voice is just on another level, which helps ITBWAB a whole lot. but what truly puts BDI's b side over the top is the accompaniment. I don't like the horns, in fact they're not terrible or anything, it's just it gives the song a different character, one i don't particularly love.

Reaction i've seen from outside oasis circles has been good. Radio DJs (the three Irish one's I've heard play it) have been positive. It's single of the week on Rick in the Afternoon on 2FM at the moment.
