If DGSS had been the next Oasis album (an Oasis album wihtout Noel sung songs but use your imagination) what songs would make the setlist? What might the full setlist look like?
Not trying to live in the past and all but its interesting to think about.
I'd say FLW, Millionaire, TR, B&S, FA, KFAD, SOTEOTN, and TMS woudl make it. It's a lot but I can't see these songs being left off. Maybe 3RC too.
FLW Lyla TSOTL B&S Millionaire The Importance of Being Idle The Masterplan For Anyone SOTEOTN Morning Glory KFAD Half the World Away The Roller Wonderwall TMS
Live Forever DLBIA Champagne Supernova RNRS
That's odd to see so many new songs in the setlist...you'll also notice that the new setlist was largely modeled on the last tour's lol.

I can't see it being that many tbh, they only played six off DOYS and presumably in future tours they'd've left some of those in. Maybe five new ones? I'd vote FLW, Millionaire, TR, TBGO, and 3RC.

Kind of a different topic but this one got me thinking: If DGSS was an Oasis album, which songs could you imagine Noel singing?
I say Millionaire, The Roller, and Morning Sun.

Wigwam (even though its pretty lengthy) I actually think if Noel was involved Wigwam might have been something really special. This song had potential to be Liam's best but it feels unfinished and somewhat hasty production-wise.

To Be Where There's Life is all Liam though.

I guess they would play Four Letter Word, The Roller and Three Ring Circus. The rest of the tunes don't really fit into an Oasis gig imo. TBGO and Wigwam have the quality, but they sound nothing like other Oasis songs.

Too many new songs, and it just doesn't look right for an Oasis setlist, and I can't quite put my finger on why that is. -- Perhaps because so many classics are left off for the mediocre (in comparison) DGSS songs?

To Be Where There's Life is all Liam though. I'd take Liam in the studio on TBWTL, but I'd take Noel live for TBWTL. I'd like to hear Noel sing a full version of Songbird.

^^Not too bad considering it wasn't unusal for them to do 21 songs in the later years.

If Oasis still existed, there would be no way they'd play the songs you bolded. They haven't played those songs live in over half a decade. Same with D'you Know What I Mean.

That would be awful. I'm glad they split if they wanted to release DGSS as 8th Oasis album

I highly doubt that DGSS, as a whole, would've been the new Oasis album back in 2011, but I could've seen this being the new Oasis album back then:
1. Four Letter Word 2. Everybody's on the Run 3. Dream On 4. If I Had a Gun 5. The Death of You & Me 6. (I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine 7. The Roller 8. Stranded on the Wrong Beach 9. The Beat Goes On 10. Stop the Clocks 11. The Morning Son
bold indicates Noel-sung

IF DGSS was released in the Oasis' name it would've done the damage, kid.
Pretty disapointing record.
PS.
Yes Noel's first record as well(bar some moments that make it better than DGSS), but Liam had the choice to release it with Oasis name, but chose not to(gladly for Oasis legacy we don't have to explain that the main writer didnt wrote the last 2 Oasis albums).

I think Noel would've probably reworked some of the falsetto parts to be two-part harmonies instead, if Liam would've sang on it, because aside from the falsetto parts, it seems like a song Liam could sing. That was one of the reasons I put it as a Liam song, along with the fact that I didn't want to have two Noel songs in a row, and three out of the first five songs being Noel songs, in this track listing.

Not even because of that, while that is a good reason, but more because of the subject of the song, obviously.
