Surprising to see some Oasis coverage in north america media without a reference to Wonderwall or a cheap shot. Found this article on the msn canada homepage. Not that I make a point of visiting that site, its awful, but you know, got redirected from hotmail. Anyhow, here's the link: entertainment.ca.msn.com/music/photos/gallery.aspx?cp-documentid=27712880&page=7By Jonathan Dekel, February 17, 2011 Bands we wish had never broken up Oasis Along with Blur to the south, Oasis' brand of bravado lauded classic rock came to define the Brit-rock movement. Led by duelling brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, Oasis punched their way to the highest highs of British chart dominance while producing era-defining albums that manage to sound fresh even today. Following a series of unfortunate events and public battles, the group took a brief hiatus before eventually disbanding in 2010.

Brief hiatus before splitting? Seriously...would 5 minutes on wikipedia kill these people? Although you could argue that Noel leaving Oasis wasn't the end. In which case the months or two or whatever it was before Liam confirmed it was over could have been considered a hiatus I suppose. So maybe it's not as moronic as I would think off first read...

They also disbanded in 2009.

Didn't even pay attention to the year that they said. It was confirmed by Liam that Oasis were over in October 2009. So they truly are out to lunch.
They only had to look @ the Time Flies title. LOL

they wouldn't be on my list... hell, we get twice as much music now!
the more relevant list would be "bands we wish would have a reunion tour."
