I found this on YouTube, its Champagne Supernova from Vancouver GM Place Aug 27th 2008. I think not only is this Liams best vox all tour but its a great performance...and there's soemthing about seeing Liam and Noel there together on stage. I guess we took it for granted all those years!
Anyhow, have a look. I really wish I could have been there (I was at the 3 gigs that followed but not this one sadly)

Holy crap, he sounds about ten years younger on this one. Nice find, definitely one of Liam's best live performances in the last ten years.

See thats the only thing that frustrates me about Liam a bit, that video is an incredible vocal, could easily pass that off as a early 2000 vocal, then a couple months later he started shouting again (Electric Proms) and at the beginning of 2009 he picked up again big time and delivered one of my favourite ever Liam vocals:
Then for the back end of the festival shows he started shouting again, I don't know why he does it as he can obviously still sing brilliantly when he wants to? I know for Beady Eye he will sing amazingly to start with, I just hope he can keep it up throughout the tour.

And you're right, I'm getting sentimental when I think about it (Noel and Liam together on stage). Thanks a lot for the link! Edit: Does anybody have a bootleg from this gig (preferably in good quality )? Thanks

Heh. It was ok. I think the iTunes Festival in 2009 provided a better Liam vocal, and perhaps one of his best going back to 2002, if not even before that!......
Untouchable there, imo. Although, I still have no idea why he eats the mic at 3.58

meh... he's good in the first video but come on, that was one of the very first gigs of the DOYS tour. the CS one ain't all that imo. you want a great vocal from the DOYS tour, here you go. his voice is a bit raspier that in its prime but it has power, he holds the notes for longer and it's one of the more difficult songs to sing(unlike champagne supernova) he sound just great imo. yes, even better than on the "standing on the edge..." gig.
here's another one(prob even better), same song
i'm not completely sure if it's the exact same gig, since liam is doing the same, let's call it "signal" in the same part of the song and he's wearing the same jacket AND shades lol
the date on the videos are different so who knows, lucky italians.
EDIT nvm, they're obviously different gigs. Noel is wearing a different jacket on the 2nd one.

I've got a great video from Wembley 09 that I took, but It would take literally days to upload. Great vocals on it as well.

(fire away at me ) ... i'm gonna search for this gig now a side note: just ONCE, i would have liked to have heard him sing the 'dont know WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY- YAHHH' , part like he used to in the old days, i know he could have done it on this occasion,, sure he can't hold notes much anymore but look at 'to be where there's life', he held it plenty there ('dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys turn into night' 'prayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for the liiiiight' ) it's the same thing.... to bad he didn't do it just once more, at one of the bigger gigs.
