At the end of the day, you don't have Beady Eye demos. I do. I dont even like the fucking record, so enjoy them. Cutting your nose off to spite your face.

At the end of the day, you don't have Beady Eye demos. I do. What a childish comment for a lad, nothing less than a kid saying to other kids "I've got a handfull of candy, Í've got a candy, but you don't. I don't share my candy with you. lalalala...".

Can't you jokers get your own Play Pen thread? This is for Rolli, Pete Bones, Jamie, Lomax, and the Oasis Mafia Board.

He said that in February 2000 in an interview. He said that it was demoed for the SOTSOG sessions and added the comparison to Tender. Its also worth pointing out that this song hasn't been mentioned or rumored about since in any substantial fashion. That said, Revolution Song is probably the oldest of the unreleased songs (at the time) on the SOTSOG demos as it was the only one that we had previously heard the title of prior to the leak as its in mentioned in Hewitt's book from 1999. During the Zanzibar gig, somebody repeatedly keeps asking him to play Revolution Song, but Noel brushes him off by saying "it's shite anyway." How exactly did the Zanzibar gig surface? And the SOTSOG demos?

How exactly did the Zanzibar gig surface? And the SOTSOG demos? Come on, Jamie. You know I was the source for the Zanzibar gig. Drugs and alcohol must be affecting your memory.

Yeah but how did you get them? There must be a story... Same with the SOTSOG demos...

There is but I never told the whole true story. I did truly enjoy hearing your true story about how you got the DBTT demos disc and Brit Award, though!

Yeah but how did you get them? There must be a story... Same with the SOTSOG demos... I was around when the SOTSOG demos leaked. It was on the newsgroups. The short version: -Some guy showed up on alt.music.oasis and said he had a disc of the new album, but with Noel on vocals. -Someone asked him to upload it. -He said he didnt know how. -Someone walked him through it. -They were put on an FTP and an HTTP site. -The end. I don't know who he was or how they were obtained, but it was apparently someone like you, who was just in the position to receive the disc. I imagine if you search alt.music.oasis around December 1999 - January 2000 you'll find the original threads. Its all on Google Groups. The rumor is that they were purposely put out there by someone with an axe to grind against Noel thinking that they were bad songs. The album itself leaked about a month later.

Thanks for the recap, Pete Bones. That should answer Jamie's question. I have to look for that screenshot of Jamie talking about how he got the DBTT demos disc and Brit Award.

So, Jamie, continuing with your logic, you weren't the source of the DBTT demos disc, either. The source was whoever you stole the disc and Brit Award from.

Since we're talking about leaks, here's the definitive Oasis leak guide, from where they came, when, and how they first appeared. I'll include Beady Eye.
Dec 1999 - Jan 2000 - SOTSOG demos appeared first via someone (not a regular) on alt.music.oasis which for a time was the best "forum" on the web. They were leaked via an FTP and HTTP server around this time frame. The actual album leaked a month later. First via Napster, and then brought over and spread wide via the same method as the demos disc.
Early 2002 - HC leaked via MIRC which at the time was the best place to get Oasis media. Someone came on there with the disc and shared them. Rolli takes credit for leaking HC, but he wasn't the source. He received them and helped spread them wide. HC was also the earliest leak in terms of Oasis albums I believe.
---alt.music.oasis dies a slow death ceasing to be relevant, forums such as The Masterplan and then Oasis Forum take over-----
March/April/May 2005 - Rolli receives 4 tracks off of DBTT via a friend of his and a line-out recording. Let There Be Love, Mucky Fingers, Keep The Dream Alive, and one other, which Im sure he remembers, but I dont. Rolli shared them and they were leaked in that initial sharing. The full album leaked about a month after this when the German iTunes store messed up the date and put the album out on the 3rd instead of the 30th. A German fan/member of the Soapbox purchased them and leaked them on The Soapbox.
---The Soapbox loses status as #1 place for Oasis news and downloads and L4E takes over----
April/May 2008 - Jamie shows up on The Soapbox and shares most of the DBTT Demos with various people. One receiving Stop The Clocks, Record Machine, and Nothing on Me that first night, and others receiving different ones on some nights later. After about a week or two, the author of this post leaks Stop The Clocks, Record Machine, and Nothing on Me that he received from one of the people who Jamie initially shared with, on L4E under a different account. Later on, Jamie rips an MP3 version of the disc and puts it out. The rest of the tracks trickled out shortly after the three "big ones" were released via m4a format which is what Jamie originally ripped it to.
September? 2008 - Ethan of oasiscollectors.com receives a promotional disc of Dig Out Your Soul, rips it via a line-in recording, and shares it. A direct CD rip shows up via the "scene" about 7-10 days afterwards.
2011 - Beady Eye first leaks via a webrip when someone gains access to a promotional stream and records it, presumably the access came via an Argentinian Oasis fan forum. The CD rip of the album appears about a week later.
