I find this appalling and do not side with the GOP on this one.

(forgive my rant, i have a personal connection to this issue.)
i find it abhorrent. for all their 9/11 this and 9/11 that, this shows where the republican establishment truly sides. they really couldn't give a rat's ass about these heroes who sacrificed their lives to save others at a time of need. fuck every single one of them who vote no or attempt to prevent the vote from taking place.
their latest excuse is that it's disrespectful to christians to hold congress sessions this time of year. you know what? firemen and policemen don't have time off because it's christmas. if they can work, so can these republicans.
fuck the media, too. they make such a splash about sarah palin's reality show and the beatles on itunes, but the only show that has actually brought this topic up is, that's right! the daily show. i know l4e isn't that show's biggest fan, and fair play to him, but their show last night brought tears to my eyes. they had four sick first responders in a roundtable discussion. nobody else in the media has done that yet. it's sickening how a comedy show has to do the job that the other networks fail at. it's not like 24 hour news channels have time to do so or anything...
why is it so hard for republicans to do the right thing? because the top two percent aren't getting tax breaks. (like they fucking need them anyway.) people's lives are at stake here, but i guess they only care about billionaires. words can't fully express my disgust and contempt for these people. fuck them so hard.

yeah it was an excellent daily show, i can't understand why a bill like this has taken so long to come around, have there been past bills that have failed?

Just proof that Congress should be dissovled and replaced by the people who post in the Ut humiliter opinor section of the forums. We might argue about other shit but usually the truly meaningful stuff we all seem to agree on.
Now that the new congress is gonna "not repeal but refuse to fund" the new health care bill, how about moving some of that saved cash over to this? John "Boner" does a lot of crying in public but I'd like to see some of the sick 9/11 people really give him something to cry over.

you're absolutely right. my repulsion and pure loathing of the cretins who voted against or attempted to block the bill goes beyond words. the biggest "fuck you" goes to those cowardly cu nts. (p.s. meanstreak, repealing the healthcare bill will actually raise the deficit by $230 billion. source 1, source 2)
