I'm needing a new ipod - a good sized one - because my nano has run out of space.
Can anyone suggest a good one?

How big was your Nano in terms of GB? I'd go for the iPod Touch or Classic (they have the better size). The new Nano is TOO small.

I got an iPhone. I find it handy to minimize the # of electronics that I carry around...if your phone contract is coming up soon.

I have a Touch 32GB and friggin love it! I never liked any other ipod other than the shuffle before but the touch is small enough to cart around with you and awesome to use to check email and browse as well. Much faster than starting up the computer and nice when sitting on the couch or laying in bed. Having it has made me want to go buy an iphone and maybe an iPad now too though so beware!

Had an iPod touch but now on the iPhone 4. Best gadget I've ever purchased....could do with more memory though

Oooher, look at paranoidandroid with his little mobile icon, hahaha.
And omg, yes, you will probably want an iPad after playing with a touch/iPhone. I love my iPhone 4, but would love extra space and the ability to make a call without it dropping! Slacker Radio, Pandora, and all them are awesome.

I don't have an Ipod and am still wondering why I do have a mobile. I hate to be called when I'm in a train or shop, so my phone is always swiched off. Some of my friends complain cos I'm not always reachable, but I don't want to be reachable anytime. I do have a phone at home, so they can still call me at home.
This is the story of my modern life. End.

Same here! I only have a phone because my parents want me to and always have it on silence. But at the same time, I don't want to have a brick in my pocket and be lugging around a SLR and laptop, so iPhone it is.

Think I might go with globe's selection!
Cheers for the help guys, I think I'm settled on getting a ipod classic that holds 40,000 songs - got far too many CDs and that will do nicely for me.
